Cracks developing in the 'wall'...
by on Nov 26, 2007 02:16 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Getting 'bowled' concecutive innings never a good sign especially for someone who is regarded so highly for his defence.

sometimes i feel Sachin has better defence technique than Dravid...the way Sachin defended he looked invincible..if you have watched the game...

ofcourse Sachin has better technique both in defence and attacking than any batsmen in the world today including the so-called wall.

What do yo mean by 'Sometimes I feel Sachin has better defence technigue than Dravid'. If it took you so long to realize that Sachin is not only a great aggressive batsmen but can also change gears and play excellent defensive cricket, then it means that you do not know cricket at all. Just recently in England he proved (once again) that he can play long innings without playing many shots because it suited the team for him to stick aroumd.

So Funny
by derc cruse on Nov 26, 2007 02:02 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is so funny to watch the comments. When Ganguly and Sachin play good, it is team effort and we are Indian. However, when they play bad- comments specially from southies: It is fault of Maratha Sachin and Bengalee Sourav. Same thing happens when Dravid does some good-so funny. Fisrt decide what you wanna say then keep it constant. I guess envy cannot be tolerated.

Dear PAL
I happened to visit this end of the netyard and stumpled upon your comment.I am an Indian with no boundaries of north and south but I realise with sadness how much divided we are at heart if not in the name of religion or caste then regions.Dravid,Sachin and Gangulee are Indians and our common wealth.Let us not divide them and take pride. We may have objections regarding the selection procedure and very often in the past the in form players found hard to get in whereas some others by virtue of their 'connections' remained in the team(not of sachin or ganguly). There was no outcry over this and gradually Kapil dev took the initiative to launch ICL which holds promise for hundreds of new talents.Well,I have gone a bit out of the topic but what I mean to every reader is to learn to be an Indian first and then you choose whom you want to become.Let us learn to unite and not try to divide this great land of ours.

india struggles to win, as always....never a thumping victory!
by Underground Underworld on Nov 26, 2007 01:55 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Even a score of 203 is a tall order for India. They always struggle to win. Seldom do the show the authority and domain like the Aussies do.

It is a pity. There is no killer instinct, and inertia sets in, once one wicket falls.

Pity we do not have the killer instinct like the Austrlians, English, and the South Africans.

We Asians are still under the 'white' rule and find it difficult to assert authority. Unfortunately so.

Well, even if the brownie counterparts, who were once a part of Bharat cannot change the perception of our players. For them, everyone is superior to them.

Well, it is a win, but a hard fought win.

Kudos o our neighourly friends, Pakistan. Our former relatives.

Well done Pakis.

We salute you, as Mushraf doffs his uniform. Hope peace reighs in your country.

Sure dude they surely do not exhibit the glamour of Mayawati, Kalpnath Rai, the giving nature of Mulayam, the great qualities of VP and ARJUN Singh. The good looks of AMAR Singh. And the humane qualities of Raju Bhaiyya!

IF
by Humanvalue on Nov 26, 2007 01:39 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Hey MjCricket check this out:

If GAVASKAR was playing in this match
If Kapil Dev was playing in this match
If Farook Engineer was plaing in this match.

If Gavaskar could be cloned in 5 Gavaskars
If Kapil can be cloned in 5 Kapils
5 Gavaskar 5 Kapil 1 Farook = What a team that would be.

Now if we created 11 players with mutated genes (all good cricketing genes of Gavaskar, Bedi, Kapil, Viswanath, Azhar, Kirmnai, Yuvraj, Srikkanth, Tendulkar and Kumble) what a great team we would have.

So if you use the wor IF the poosibilities are endless. So MjCricket - try to learn this and get on with life.
