GANGULY PLAYED TO HIS STRENGTH
by deepak on Nov 25, 2007 05:52 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

TODAY GANGULY PLAYED TO HIS STRENGTH. HE PLAYED SHOTS AND GOT AWAY WITH IT. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY HE KNOW TO PLAY. IT WAS A GOOD PERFORMANCE IN A SMALL RUN CHACE. BUT I DO NOT THINK THAT WITH THESE KIND OF INNINGS HE WILL SURVIVE A LOT. HE MAY PLAY SOME SMALL INNINGS BUT WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY BIG INNINGS.

Anyway, no point in trying to predict the future, which all of us will know shortly. If Ganguly does well in Australia also (particularly on the WACA ground), Ganguly will become the next God in the pantheon. Then not just roshogullas, Idli/sambar/dal/roti/subzi/sarson_ka_saag everyone will be proud of him.

Its a pity that Mr. Sharad Pawar is ignoring a Pundit like you. You are a fit person to be India's coach!

We can compare Yuvi properly with Ganguly once Yuvi finishes 11 years of international cricket including 5 years of captaining India.

Not sure abt MOM - Ganguly does not need it anymore. Those who want to bash him, will do anyway. No escape from that.
Hope India wins. Losing the match from this position will be a mortal blow on the series - unless its fixed by betting people!

Ganguly at his best
by Gautam De on Nov 25, 2007 05:33 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

After a long time, at last Ganguly rose up to his own level and done some justice to his reputation. To our satisfaction, he succeeded both with bat and ball. Kumble is using him quite effectively - which Dravid never wanted for some reason may be we all know!

Since returning from England, his form was erratic. Good that he is actively contributing in team's victory.
We need many such performances. Otherwise we would like to see Yuvaraj!

When did Kumble and Ganguly marry your aunties? Boy, atlest learn to respect the players who have given their 100% to the team. Without your "Kumble Uncle" india wouldnt have won even 10% of its home matches for the last 15 years or so. And he is our best test bowler even today.

International Cricket must be very easy game. I also want to start playing cricket tomorrow. If by FLUKE and without any talent an idiot person like Ganguly can score more than 17000 runs (test ODI), if all the pitches all over the world are easy, if all the teams are weak then Cricket must be really a very easy game and any TOM DICK BILLA will be abale to score against bowlers like Akhtar
