TOTAL Team Effort

Punjab - HARBHAJAN 3 wickets
Karnataka - Kumble Captaincy 7 wickets - Dravid 70 runs
Mumbai - TEndulkar/Jaffer - Useful runs.
Hyderabad - Laxman (the innings of the match)
Tamil Nadu - Karthick - Great Catch
Bengal - Ganguly - A few wickets and a few runs.

UP - What did UP do??? I see - they went into their bedrooms and multiplied. Isn't one KAIF enough? How many more KAIFs do we need?

They contribute by not being on the team. :-)
Why do UP people even try play cricket. Drink you daily quota of GHEE and go join some KUSTI pit. Once you graduate you can join the goon legions of MAYAWATI and MULAYAM.

Turning point of the match
by Prasad on Nov 25, 2007 11:48 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Turning point of the math was the mishit by misbah of the bowling of Ganguly. Had he continued there and score another 100 runs partnership, the story would have been different.

India #2
by bhupindersingh bindra on Nov 25, 2007 11:47 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

India is on verge of being the second best Test-playing Team in the world behind Aussies.
They are having the right balance with Top run getters in the world in the middle order followed by the best WK-batsman Dhony, and best spinners in World Kumble and Harbhajan, giving support to Zaheer.
With Gambhir knocking the doors as opening batsman.
May be with little bit of luck favouring India(and of course the Umpires too),we can get the first series win in Australia next series,to get the top.

Misbah madness continues ...

India winning
by N Gnanaguru on Nov 25, 2007 11:36 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

To my knowledge, It's the first time that India is going to win Pakistan while chasing. They lost to Pakistan in Bangalore in 1987, Chennai and Kolkatta in 1999, in Bangalore again in 2004 after taking a small lead in 1st innings. Hats off to Ganguly who played very positively against Shoaib akthar who was firing all cylinders. He proved his selection ahead of Yuvraj singh. Gnanaguru.

What about Jaffer man? No one guy can do shit in test cricket. Its another great team effort. This team has it in it to be one of the best all time test teams. What they dont have in brute power they have it in innate skill. Its like Brazil play soccer.

Where are the southies
by derc cruse on Nov 25, 2007 11:31 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Hahah now the southern idlis will not speak for a while who were engaged in maligning Sachin and Sourav. Sourav took 2 wickets and on the verge of half century. He made contribution to every winning match. Envious southies go to he.... The Sachin and Sourav combination will survive for a long time.
