short memory
by bluebie on Nov 24, 2007 09:40 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

people do have a very short memory....In the first innings, Harbhajan Singh himself dropped Misbah off Munaf Patel's bowling...of course, Misbah got freakishly runout after scoring 20 odd runs more...would he have said "it was a ery crucial catch" about his own drop?

Wow, what a flash back...

Someone should send the video clip of that to Hari Ullu, Nalayak Paaji.

May be he end up taking retirement from Active cricket and go into exile.

Changes in next test.
by k shah on Nov 24, 2007 09:36 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Parthiv patel in place of Kartik. He is a specialist wicketkeeper and an opener, presently in best form (five centuries this season). Jaffar is fine at present. Ganguly has to make room for Yuvaraj. May be, in near future, Dhoni need to be rested and Rohit sharme or Badrinath or Sehwag may be brought in. There need to be regular replacements for tired players so as they remain fresh and fit to play longer, otherwise when they get injured (like sreesanth & RP, other bowlers like Zaheerkhan is under extra pressure.

misbah's drop will make all the difference
by biswa pal on Nov 24, 2007 08:50 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

misbah being dropped by wasim jaffer will cost india the match.had that catch been taken, pakistan's lower order would have been exposed.kumble and harbhajan were bowling really well at that moment.the dropped catch let the whole team down.that could well be the turning point of the match.now,it would require some great peformances from the batsmen to save india the blushes.but there is not much hope,as we know how the indian batsmen perform under pressure.

cricket is agame of uncertainity. However no professtional and good players will depends upon one catch. HEre team effort and dedication wqill win the game rather than individual performances

the catch was crucial but to cast aspersions on jaffer's loyalty is ludicrous.

guys,i am not blaming jaffer.anybody could drop a catch.i am casting aspersions on the fielding and the concentration of players.the catch watch a dolly.had jaffer been alert,he would have taken it easily.nobody drops catches knowingly.its not his integrity thats is in doubt, but it is his ability.

but yeah, during the days of match fixing, catches were dropped knowingly.who knows whats happening these days.but, its pretty difficult to fix test matches which is played over five days.

sachins runout = 100 runs
by bhagat Singh on Nov 24, 2007 08:41 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

When Sachin fires in 2nd innings, we will have a very good total.

Badrinath is playing so well in domestic cricket. He made 143 today. He is almost never failing in any match. Suresh Raina too is in very good form and is scoring faster even in a test match. Both of them should be considered.

Badrinath definitely deserves a test place (because he is never failing, rarely gives up his wicket). He also deserves a one-day position. Suresh Raina needs to be given one-day chance first and then the test chance later. Also I dont understand how come we dont give a place in test for a genius player like yuvraj. In my opinion these are the replacements...

ODIS:-

Player Replaced by
Uthappa Badrinath
Gambhir Dravid
Sehwag Suresh Raina/Rohit Sharma
Ganguly Give some more time

TESTS:-

Player replaced by
Kartik Badrinath
Ganguly Give some more time
Jaffer Yuvraj singh

how you can imagine replacing Jaffar by Yuvraj, Jaffar is an opener, and you perhaps don't know how difficult it is to face the fierce fast balls fired with the new ball in the first hour, it is not a joke, some specialist is a must there, and Yuvi simply does not fit there.

Are u following Cricket Bosss....???
How can u even think about dropping Uttappa from one day cricket as he is the most promising youngster at the moment in the shorter version of the game.

When Ganguly needs some more time , why not Sehwag who in my opinion is still the devastating one day opener any opponent will fear to bowl against.

It is a big joke that you say Yuvi can replace Jaffer in test matches. Do u know that Jaffer is a opener and Yuvraj is a big failure in the openers position in test matches ?

But I agree with you're comment that Badrinath , Raina , Rohit are all players who are probably going to be future of the Indian Cricket. The way to bring them inside is to slowly request the seniors to retire (if they don't retire themselves) rather than axing another youngster like Karthick , Gambhir , Uttappa etc.
