The team is doing relatively well, with the current set of people handling it. Anyway, even if they do get a new coach, he will arrive when the team is about to leave for Australia. By the time he gets to know them, they will be getting ready to return from Aus. I do not see how a new coach at this stage will help. Unless, ofcourse the Board is going to spring a surprise and get someone already well known to the team (no, not Chappell, I know!!)
It takes 7 months to find a coach, Inspite of money. This shows how incompetant they are. The bottom line was to find coach which they failed miserably. Their performance was bad, they should pay the price.
When u hav performance bonus for players.
BCCI just cant get away on their short comings!!
High time the Cricket officials take control and the money is accounted. Its going as a BIG fraud
heard this many times before... coming coming coming, the great Indian coach......... and Gooooooneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.............
u set your act together before making statements guys. don't make just statements, DO IT..... u r just making fool of your self with these statements. don't just speak, just get "someone" as coach and then speak :-)
These jokers have no process and just because they instructed the so called committee, the committee cannot pick a coach from out of thin air.
News organizations like REDIFF should consider NOT publishing such garbage from BCCI without some facts. When did your committe start looking for a coach? Will they start now or have they already started? How will they come up with a coach in 10 days? Are there existing candidates you interviewed or plan to interview or is this another one of your jokes that you want to hoist on the indian cricket fans?
it is important that we have a coach who understands Indian culture and at the same time he should be given authority to implement his coaching style and/or philosophy. Sandeep Patil was a very successful coach for Kenya. Should he be given the opportunity, BCCI should gather a fielding coach, physical trainer, and a pace bowling coaches. These supporting traine/coaches may be selcted from foreign countries if require, because we need to improve our physical strength, fielding capabilities, and generateing paces/swings in bowling Probably Wasim Akram can be a good pace bowling coach for Sreesanth, Irfan, Munaf, RP, VRV, Ishant, Praveen Kumar, Ranadeb, Shib Shankar, etc. Our supply of spin bowlders include: Piyush Chawla, Karthik, Ojha, Bhajji, Sarandeep, Amit Mishra, besides our captain Anil Kumble. Unfortunately they may not all get opportunity in the same series, but hese buch of players need coaching for improving their bowling. How about hiring some one like Prasanna to coach these players.

Kenya went tru to semis as it was fixed, ass ICC sleuths found out later...and thus Patil was not considered for the Indian position- he was under investigation too.
Thats why he is with ICL!Thus he can't be with BCCI- don't you read the news bro?

Desi coach will be ok. You are correct and I agree with you. Ajit Wadekar is good - he should be selected.
