RE:dawood's shadow looms large on indian cricket
by on Nov 20, 2007 09:07 PM  Permalink
Dhoni was included in the Bihar U-19 squad for the 1998/99 season and scored 176 runs in 5 matches (7 innings) as the team finished fourth in the group of six and did not make it to the quarter finals. Dhoni was not picked for the East Zone U-19 squad (CK Nayudu Trophy) and Rest of India squad (MA Chidambaram Trophy and Vinoo Mankad Trophy). Bihar U-19 cricket team advanced to the finals of the 1999-2000 Cooch Behar Trophy where Dhoni made 84 to help Bihar post a total of 357. Bihar's efforts were dwarfed by Punjab U-19's 839 with Dhoni's future national squad teammate Yuvraj Singh making 358.[11] Dhoni's contribution for the tournament included 488 runs (9 matches, 12 innings), 4 fifties, 17 catches and 7 stumpings.[12] MS Dhoni made it to the East Zone U-19 squad for the CK Nayudu trophy but scored only 97 runs in four matches as East Zone lost all four matches and finished last in the tournament.

Very true. Dawood is so powerful, he is controling Indian cricket. All muslim players should be dropped then India will surely progress. No muslim player should be allowed to play even in local league matches and ranji matches. India will surely progress.

then comes mahammed kaif's case.when this ordinary batsman was in the team, yuvaraj singh suspiciosly got injured or had high fever just before the many important matches and kaif who would have certainly out of the team in case yuvaraj was there in the team always replaced yuvaraj in such cases. ofcource he(kaif)failed in almost all of these matches and correctly booted out of the indian team.probably if gravepines tobe believed kaif was the closest player in contact with this fixing mafia after ajaruddin.that is why he was never recalled into the indian team(ofcourse his performances on the field in domestic circuit is also very bad.)then wasim jaffer.
in a simiar case, virendra sehvag got injured or got a high fever just before many matches and always jaffer replaced him.and somehow clicked to some extent in test matches after failing horribly in initial matches and then given plethora of chances.there is a strong suspision that opposition team bowlers were prchased so that they bowl softly against jaffer.
munaf patel's frequent injuries or either due to lack of physical ability or some work by opposite fixers group, which has a very limited influence compared to dawood's and was formed probably against above tactics.
only jaheer khan ,a true indian muslim, looks a clean person.

india has produced many great muslim cricketers like pataudi, saleem durani and kirmani who were of unquestionable integrity.current generation of indian muslim players should better introspect themselves.

I think Dravid is one of the bast in the world in Test Cricket. And you can say sometimes he struggles and takes time but overall he is best test batsmen India has produced including Sachin and Gavaskar. Records tells itself whenever India won a test outside India Rahul was there.Ganguly's place should be given to Yuvraj since he is in Top form.

I am not going against you but Bihar needs to improve a lot more don't be proud too much. Since we all know that Bihar is worst state. It is suffering from castism, poverty. iliteracy and many more.
If you are proding means you don't know the reality of bihar and one more thing what is the condition of Bihar Ranji Team??

I am not against anyone but this is reality.

INJURED PLAYERS
by prashanth p gudibande on Nov 20, 2007 08:54 PM  Permalink

The BCCI is killing the goose that lays golden eggs. read Cricket for goose. If such kind of intense cricket is played, then the players will not last more than 5 years or 50 tests. Its human body. not a robot or machine. Ultimately people will lose interest to watch cricket. Already much has been spoken about the frequency of Indo Pak series
