Who is guy Praveen Kumar? I liked his action. Although not a pacer neither consistent. Taking into account that he played his first match he did well. He looked fine and calm with his thoughtful spell though he missed his line a couple of times and got belted. Still a great start in career. Any info of his???

munaf's agency is gameplan--same who were paying vengy for syndicated column--also after saying that writing was his livelihood how come vengy agreed to boards ultimatum? what is his source of income now as selector post is honorary? Munaf is always injury prone and fielding atrocious--funny choice!!!

As far as i know even the captain can select from the 14 fiven to him by selectors ..you seem to be a super selector ..Pathan and Sehwag will be watching from home on TV since they are not even in the 14 ..

Anil Kumbale M S Dhoni S Tendulkar S Ganguli R Dravid VVS Laxman W Jafar V Sehwag Zaheer Khan Irfan Pathan
We can use Saurav & Sehwag as unorthodox bowler after the spell of three regular boweler or we can use them in between the spell of regular bowlers. Sehwag & Jafar shuold open the innings Dravid should be one down, sachin should be 2 down, Ganguli 3 rd down & Laxman should be 4th down because of this order our batting will be strong enough.

Test cricket is about taking wickets as well where u need wicket taking specialist bowlers even if they go for runs .Your lineup may earn a draw if all batsman bat to their potential ..You can bat all 5 days and not win , you can bowl well for a day , pick 20 wickets and win the match ..Saurav and Sehwag cannot bowl long spells neither can they fetch u 5 wicket hauls in tests ...

Sehwag is still a good player without doubt. he just needs one big score to be in the form. Keeping the future in mind only i picked yuvraj and sehwag.
Debasis Mohanty has benn a consistent performer for Orissa in Ranji Trophy, both with the bat and ball. But the Orissa players are getting a raw deal in comparision to their counterparts in other states. I think its high time the consistent performers should be rewarded, irrespective of the state or region to which they belong.

Pay heed to your own last sentence!! Why are you arguing only for Debasis Mohanty, Mr. Debasis ?? Look at the Ranji Trophy, Irani Trophy etc. statistics and you will finds hundreds of other worthy players who are not considered good for playing for India !!!

where is BALA JI --HATH ANY SLECTOR TRY TO FIND OUT. THEY USE THEM AND THEN THROW THEM TO DUSTBINS, THERE ARE MANEY WHO ARE PRFORMING SO WELL, BUT DUE TO RED TAPISUM THEY DONT FIND ANY PLACE-- NOWA DAYS U R SUPPESD TO RICH CRICKETERS.. IF U WANT A PLACE IN THE TEAM.

On current form Munaf,Pankaj Singh and Ishant Sharma in that order are the only possibilities. The fact that Irfan was not called up is strange.Maybe he is considered a stock bowler of the one day variety and not a wicket taking Test bowler.So Irfan after his action correction is not the same bowler.
