One should include Rohit Sharma. He had played so well in difficult circumstances. What's happening to Joginder Sharma after his glorious stint in T20.

unfortunate umpires in good play
by aj das on Nov 19, 2007 02:53 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Umpire was completely wrong in his decision, yes a player must leave when he is given out, but Mahanama must also consider the fact that a batsman may have worries when he is wrongly given out, infact penalizing Yuvraj is ok, but what about the idiot umpire whose stupid decision changes the compley of the game, Mahanama must consider that umpire's silly decision corrupts the entire match and wastes times & money of so many spectators. We are not watching cricket for umpires stupid decision.

Yuvraj's fine & wrong decision by Umpire
by Pulipakkam SrinivasaRaghavan on Nov 19, 2007 02:52 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Even during 2nd ODI against Pakistan, the same stupid Umpire did not give LBW out to Younus & Md Yousuf and both went on to stabilise the Innings. India lost because of his wrong decision. Again, in yesterday's loss also, it was same Umpire's hand that helped Pakistan win the match. Its better that this chap be sent off to Pakistan. They will be very happy to have him as he helps their team win matches even the ones that they're sure of losing.

He should be banned for atleast a year or two and that punishment should be made public.

Tell me, how many Umpires have been punished for their wrong decisions and that has been made public? Only the players' punishments are being announced.

This chap needs a severe punishment and public indicement.

FINE THE UMPIRE
by SANJEEV BAGAYATKAR on Nov 19, 2007 02:49 PM  Permalink

THE UMPIRING OF MR SHASTRI & AMIESH SAHEBA HAS BEEN SUB STANDARS TO SAY THE LEAST.BUT IF YOU HAVE A THIRD UMPIRE & A MATCH REFERRE WHO IS WATCHING THE PROCEEDING THERE IA A NEED FOR THEM TO USE THE TECHNOLOGY AVAILABLE IN HAND & CORRECT THE WRONG CALL MADE BY THE UMPIRE ON THE GROUND RATHER THAN IMPOSING A FINE ON A BATSMAN.
IF ANYBODY HAS TO BE FINE IT HAS TO BE THE UMPIRE.
EVEN AFTER MAKING SO MANY MISTAKES THEY GET THERE MATCH FEES & THE POOR PLAYERS HAVE TO SUFFER AT THERE HANDS.

Bring Back Agarkar
by G Prem on Nov 19, 2007 02:47 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think its the right time to call Agarkar back. How long the selectors can keep him out of the squad, and continuing with these non-wicket taking bowlers... I won't say Agarkar is the best Indian bowler... His average is quite good(

Asians
by Venkat Ramana on Nov 19, 2007 02:42 PM  Permalink

Why asins are only the victims to be fined always? why not non-Asians.Shame to the refery Mahanama being Asian..He should think of it and work in it seriously.Australins always abuse opponents behind the wickets.Everybody knows it.But they never fined.is this the fear or special respect towards non asians.Pls avoid bullshit decisions referies..
