Indian team has done us proud by beating our Dushmans but now we must start thinking about Aus in Aus. Hope our foolish Indian Boeard tells the groundsmen to prepare hard, grassy pitches for the 3 Tests versus Pak so that our Batsmen get used to the chin music they will face in Australia. I think if we play fighting cricket like we have been doing offlate, the Aus bowlers will have a tough time against Dravid, Laxman, Sachin and Karthik. Ganguly and Jaffer I think will be flops, though I hope they surprise me. Zaheer, Sree and RP will be a good attack and Kumble off course is ever reliable and also remember he was the highest wicket taker in our last series (in Aus)with 24 wickets.Just hope and pray Harbhajan bowls well. His defensive bowling like in the ODIs is no use, he will have to flight and attack the batsmen. I feel it will be aclosely fought series but the key is the FIRST TEST MATCH and how our Batting lineup copes.Any score above 350 in our first Batting stint and it will be a good series, I feel. Waiting for a mouth watering series. Will wait with a hot cup of coffee, early morning for the first test match in Melbourne (starts at around 5.00 a.m.)

Sorry but I am not so hopeful.Last time all three and Laxman were in their prime. So this time the failure to groom young guys is going to show.Remember the batting failures in Sa.One thing may help.Australian pitches have slowed down, even Perth. Worse is the bowling.Look at SL's plight. It has a better attack then us and are getting mauled.
The present Pak team looks like the Indian Team of the 90's playing without any spirit or zeal. Shoib seems to be secluded from the rest of the team and he seems to be getting no support watsoever from the other players. Batsmen are doing their bit to retain theier spots but that is all they are doing. Bowling seems to be spineless and even Shoaib hasn't been able to change it. Fielding,as usual, has been their nemesis. On the contrary, the Indian team seems to be playing with a lot of spirit and character. The seniors are jelling well with the youngsters and are guiding them well which is very important to take the Indian Cricket forward. Although the fielding still leaves a lot to be desired but atleast they are doing the basics well. For a change, India also seems to have a lot of options in the bowling department which has hardly happened in the past. Although both teams are in the state of transition, its very important for the transition to happen in the right way. The faster the Pakistanis learn this from the Indains, the better for them.

Good point. The seniors as well never bother to help Shoaib Malik when the bowlers were being hit all over. I think this Pak team (like the Indian Team about 3 years back) can win only with individual performances NOT as a cohesive unit.
I feel India might win the Test series 2-0 as well.Lets hope it is more competitive than that, for the sake of good cricket viewing.

If you are given a chance to take over the team as Captain, will you go for it?

Only the Gujjus will understand this poem. Dont waste the time of the rest of the country, Dhokebaaz Dhokla.
The Name Veeru brings 2 things to mind : (the original Veeru of Sholay and our very own veeru).
Both had one thing in common: free spirit and high adventure
All of our minds are trained to recognize only one thing : Tendulkar Tendulkar and Tendulkar. No doubt it was a wonderful innings . But back to Veeru. Veeru it was a brilliant innings played. Some of the shots are JUST UNBELEIVABLE. Your Batting is an expression of uninhabited spirit and high adventure.
If Veeru had either not played attackingly or got out like the rest what would have happened? Sachin would also have lost it, and same old 9 pins story....
Veeru your Fighting spirit is un questioned. When India is challenged and really needs you we know You will be there. (what better eg than WC 2003 final...no fluke). You will not waste your talent trying to be boringly Consistant or entering record books.
We may never see another talent like you in our time!

U mad Jim. U dont even know what u are writing. U have praised shewag's batting while undermining Sachin's. Shewag has been the most consistently inconsistent batsman of recent times. He has been very lucky even to be in the team. He failed in the challenger series barring one score of 40 against mediocre bowling. Even in this series, the first match he played he was not even anywhere close to his shadow. And here because of one innings u are sying that he is a talent u wouldn't see in ur time. U are the most ignorant person. Shewag at the moment is just a very lucky to be in the team. And Sachin has proved once again why he still is the best.

You are a boring guy. Just bcos you worship Sachins does not mean that everybody should do the same. Learn to appreciate talent.
And dont compare you fool....both have their own merits.

Aaj Tak : what gone wrong against Aus ? Dravid: By the time I came to crease most of overs would have finished with required rate more than 8 thanks to Dada. But I could'nt do the shameless Dhoni act of hanging in just for sake of saving place. And Colnel expects me to score at average of Sachin sending me after 40-45 overs. let them send me at my origial one down just like they have reserved openers slot to Dada & Sachin and then ask for form.
