THIS TIME SACHIN TOOK RIGHT DECISION. INFACT HE KNOWS WHY BOARD WANT TO MAKE SACHIN THE CAPTAIN. IT IS PROVED WITH INDIAN TEAM ONCE AND AGAIN THAT THEY WERE LIONS IN INDIAN AND CATS ABROAD. BARRING PRESENT PAKISTAN TOUR WHERE PAKISTAN IS NOT AT ALL AN OPPONENT TOBE COMPARED, EVEN INDIA "A' TEAM WILL BEAT THEM CONVINCINGLY. SO UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES, NEXT TWO TOURS OF AUSTRALIA AND SOUTH AFRICA WERE TOUGHEST AND CHANCES OF WINNING WERE VERY LESS. SO SELECTORS WANT TO MAKE SACHIN SHEEP GOAT ONCE AGAIN LIKE EARLIER WHERE SACHIN WAS MADE CAPTAIN FOR ABROAD TOURS ONLY AND OBVIOUSLY WE LOST HENCE THE RESPONSIBILITY SHIFTS ON SACHIN. NOW SACHIN TOOK RIGHT DECISION. CAPTAINCY IS NOT HIS DREAM AT ALL HIS GAME IS CRICKET GIVING 100%. COMING BACK TO DHONI, I FEEL HE HAS LOT TO PROVE HIMSELF IN TEST CRICKET WITH KARTHIK DOING WELL AS OPENER, YUVRAJ CAN PLAY IN TESTS IN PLACE OF DHONI WITH KARHTIK WITH HIS SAFEST OF HANDS IN INDIAN CRICKET DOING THE JOB BEHIND STUMPS. DHONI DOESNT POSSES THE PATIENCE TO KEEP WICKETS IN TEST CRICKET. OF COURSE SELECTORS WILL IGNORE ALL THESE. TO ME "KUMBLE" LOOKS RIGHT CHOICE TO TAKE THE JOB AS HE IS VERY INTELLIGENT CRICKETER BUT NORTH AND BOMBAY LOBBY WILL NOT GIVE HIM A CHANCE FOR SURE.
"I told my boys, idhar udhar nahi hone ka, uski batting close se dekho, [focus on how he is batting] ... you are not going to get a better education in pacing an innings than this," Amol Muzumdar, the Mumbai captain, later told Cricinfo. "He didn't let anything affect him. The match situation, the humid weather, the bowling ... it was a treat to watch him bat."
It was a two-paced innings. On the third day Dravid chose safety, focusing on taking Karnataka, 142 runs in arrears, into a position of strength on a slow track, before changing gears on the fourth. He scored 77 runs off 178 balls on Monday; today, 137 runs were whipped off 152 balls as Dravid ensured his state side emerged with a creditable draw.

i wish people focussed on cricket, rather than play favourites. dravid, as like tendlia and ganguly, and the others are talented. just that we indian fans are more like bollywood, we make too much of a song and dance out of everything

Salman Butt is in form! Younis will come back strong...also sohail Tanvir will now be taken instead of Rao Iftikar...rao Iftikar is a medium pacer and Indian batsmen will score easily! So now Sohail Tanvir lefty bowler will come!!

Ammar, go back to ur Porkistan and look what's happening there instead of interfering in our country
2 or 3 people are having a mud-slinging match at the expense of other rediff visitors .. I think Rediff needs to have somebody monitor the posts continuously and remove unwanted content immdly and probably ban that rediff id.

naah, these 2-3 just show what they stand for. net forums are universally acknowledged as venomous. so everyone takes these with a inch of salt, no , make that a bucketful. these trolls are happy to play disruptive. take the pakistani team and the indian team, look at the players, they are happy playng thier cricket, its the crazy fans like these trolling around. someone or the other will moderate around here to weed them out, or else rediff better take care to ban them.

Well Infact I feel, Rediff should immediately STOP allowing readers to make comments on any articles/news they publish...I see that ONLY hatred is spread here by almost all barring a few exceptions...WAKE REDIFF...ACT RESPONSIBLY
It's time for Sachin-Sourav to say BYE-BYE to ODIs. Some fools don understand this and keep supporting these old horses. There r tonnes of youngsters waiting for opportunities who can definitely play more consistent innings than Sachin and who r fluent players of fast bowling whereas players like Ganguly inspite of having rich ODI experience still struggles. What a shame Sachin-Sourav are on Indian cricket. Sachin-Sourav, please retire from ODI. Youngsters like Praveen Kumar, Rohit Sharma, Raina, Tiwari r waiting for opportunity.

Anshul, Both are good in openning. I think, let them play for another one year, by the time, young players will be well groomed. Thats Sure, Rohit Sharma and Manoj Tiwari are future prospects for India.

may be its ur opinion. But I do not agree with that. Out of 5 matches, they give good start in 2/ 3 matches. Still they have some energy to burst.
