Any other nation would never think of anyone if it had leadership material like ganguly but we indians will prove against all odds how petty we are and how third world and low class we just cant get over our third world identity ...for a change BCCI get out of your ego and modestly ask ganguly to lead team india

Yu idiot!! ganguly is not preferred cos of his divide and rule tactics which he played in the team when he was captian. Also his batting was terriblewhenhewascaptian. He isbatiing better now ony because he has no captiancy burden.

Why Dravid resigned after successful tour of ENGLAND?? Why Sachin not accepted captaincy?? The answer is BCCI POLITICS.becoz they know they are caotain only in field and besides it all decisions are taken by BCCI Or VENGSARKAR.JO BCCI CHAHTI HAI WAHI HOTA HAI.Selection is totally done by VENGSARKAR all other selectors just following his orders.After sometime Dhoni will also leave captaincy very soon if he do not want to become their chahcha. Plz god remove this politics from INDIA which is exist in every department and prove an obstacle in INDIA'S GROWTH
When Dravid relinquished captaincy, many in this forum blamed Sachin for this and wrote that Sachin wanted captaincy and he along with the selectors were responsible for Dravid's resignation. But he proved them wrong by declining captaincy. Had he been selfish, he would have accepted the post because he would be the captain for atleast 2 yrs and his position in the team in both the forms of cricket would also have been safe. But he didn't do it. This is his way of showing his protest to the selectors and the board for the way they have treated Saurav and Dravid and also to silence the people who say that he is selfish.

how noble--after accepting Vice captaincy in collusion with vengsarkar: petulant and sulking after told to bat lower down the order: who are you kidding!!He is the man who made he statement "indian team is now in safe hands" after Dhoni was announced as captain--here is a man who was in team mgmt meetings till yesterday and now suddenly he saw reason? The point is simple--australia tour is tough and with vengsarkar's conditions for players to retain places in the team--is going to be difficult for all including sachin.
Our cricket stadiums r the most pathetic ones in the world. They r absolute dead n slow. Look at the pitches in SA, Aus, England. And look at our pitches. Indore, Rajkot, Guwahati...Pathetic ones in entire world. Dont tell me due to whether conditions in india. Sharjah is one of the best cricekting stadiums in world. If a desert country can create such a wonderful stadium, then y not India?? Dont tell me excuses like lack of funds n all. BCCI is the richest board in entire world. Please dont also tell me tht our batsmen struggle on bouncy pitches. They did a good job in SA and recent tour of England. When will our pitches improve??

I understand the role of Prasad, Robin Singh in Indian team even though Prasad was never good at ODI level. He was a terrible fielder and his batting was pathetic. Can u compare him with Irfan Pathan??? I could say that even RP Singh bowls better than Prasad and fields and bats better than him. Anyways, my question here is wht is the contribution of Rajput in the team?? I have seen most of the times Sachin advising youngsters, Robin and Venky chatting with youngsters whereas Rajput always sitting like a dumb. It's high time we had a coach. If not a international coach, why dont try domestic one?? We have very good players like Sandeep Patil, Mohinder Amarnath, Roger Binny. These would be far far better than Lalchand Rajput!!!
Captaincy is not all about taking your shirt off and pretending an injury when you see a green top pitch, making politics and look like a poor fielder and poor running between wickets.
Coming to Saurav, he may be a good leader, but he doesnt deserve a place in the test team for a long time. He is in the test team only because the team is winning on top of good performances by dravid ( averages 200% under saurav in test matches), Lakshman and Sachin and backed by bengali politicians. Nobody bothered about his batting because team was winning. Remember that he doesnt have a 50 for an extended period of 1 1 /2 years and every fast bowler wants to bounce him away and will dream of getting his wicket very cheaply.
IF the selectors are looking for an immediate change towards youngsters , dhoni should be given a chance. If the selectors wanted to give Dhoni some chance to settle down in test cricket, they should make either lakshman and Kumble the captian and give Dhoni Vice captaincy and gromme him for 1 year and Dhoni will be an automatic choice for the next Captain.
No matter who will be the captain in the team, we need to have a rotation policy and play with with 6 4 1 combination in the test matches and among 6 Batsman, 3 should be seniors among Dravid, Sachin, Saurav, Lakshman and 3 should be juniors ( Rohith Sharma,Jaffer,Dinesh Karthik,Yuvraj,Ghambhir,yousf Pathan ....etc). get your facts right. nagpur pitch was deliberately made a green top, so that we would lose. it was that old man dungarpur's idea to get even with dalmiya. bcci politics is so bad, they dont mind if the team loses, so that they can fight eachother. saurav rightly refused to play in such a scenario. even aussies claimed that pitch was better than what they had at 'home'

by rejecting the offer he has proved how thick he is in his head thats what he has proved also he has shown that he doesnt have the coomanding power which nee to be in a deserving captain
to lead india DADA was is and shall alwaze remain the top contender lots of people are jealous of his give a damn personality and amazing record as captain lots of people will have to eat humble pie so everyone will yet again get togther to deprive india of its best captain all over again personal egos will come to the forefron and deprive india of its most successful captain it the BCCI is not a hypocryte and actually thinks of the good of the country then it must immidiately reinstate ganguly as the captain who is kumble and laxman ....these people will lead india? lets not make a laughing stock of ourselves by even considering these people
ganguly is the obvious choice for Captain lets face the facts for a change and not run away from these facts like tendu ran away from captainship

this is all a great natak--why did he accept Vice captaincy--this was done without informing Rahul--then team mgmt meant him and vengsarkar also--see sachin is the victim of vengsarkar;s big mouth-warning to seniors: form and fitness etc--so the hens have come home to roost!!
