He was never a good captain

Sachin was never a successful captain. So his decision is wise. Now Ganguly should get a chance to lead India again.

Saurav - as a second choice - is no better - Dhoni would be the most ideal person

First of all let him do the basics right like taking catches, running between wickets then we will talk about captaincy.

Tendulkar doesn't have guts to lead the side.He is always plays for self recods, never for the country.As a Mumbaikar i feel shame on this.We need real fighters like Robin,Yuvaraj etc.I really support Dravid as a captain for the indian team, vengsarkar!!!wake up and think about the nation, not about Mumbai.This is the right time to give an opportunity to Laxman or Kumble for the hot seat!!!!

tendulkar=captaincy

Sachin has earned enormous respect thro this decision not to accept captaincy of India.At this stage of his career-which may be another 2 years-he can focus on his batting & allround skills; I congratulate Sachin for not SUCCUMBING to a hidden Pro-West/Bombay lobby which was working overtime to"bring him to their lobby";Sachin had risked his reputation & goodwill if he had accepted the job; Now, he has proved he is a statesman;class material.Well done Sachin;Looking forward to few more years of vintage stuff from you.

Well Done Sachin, to say no to the bunch of Jokers committee (BCCI), they want to appoint Sachin to be discarding ina unprofessional way they have done to Sourav,Dravid and next would have been Mr.Sachin. Isupport on his hailing decision,when Vensarkar was shown the door during his tenure we felt bad at that time and he is no better than that jokers.
