calculated clever move by sachin....
by vijay munde on Nov 06, 2007 04:00 PM  Permalink

Today Indain cricket fans are in sufferd by syndrome of get RID OF SENIORS...
India is goin to tour Australia which is toughest & if India fail in test series again the senior trio will cum under hammer..
So clever sachin knows best way to prlong his carrer is to keep away from all the things which will invite criticism..
Anyways i always feel selectors shouldnt have offered him Captaincy at frist place..
Fans will accept some bad performances under Dhoni but not under Sachin or dravid

10dulkar knows that every body wants Dhoni as captain and not sachin..a thakela warrior...but because of him no body will speak openly...so in his own interest..he backed out before he is made what BCCI made of Dravid...

RIGHT TIME
by srikanth rajagopalan on Nov 06, 2007 04:00 PM  Permalink

Sachin having turned down the offer, it is the right time for the selectors and the board to nurture Dhoni at this juncture. Dhoni has proved everybody that he has got a thinking head on this shoulders and is very cool on the field. A captain need not be aggressive but has to be smarter to outwit the opposition. I feel this is what makes dhoni the right choice.

Tendulkar took a wise decision. Now would the selection committee take serious view of this 'offence' and do a Rahul Dravid to Tendulkar and rest him too? May be not, isnt he from the same camp?

As per the record ganguly was recently awarded best test captain so why cant he be the captain.Let Dhoni concentrate on ODI n TT captency.

tell you what, even Sunil Gavaskar is a good choice.. why dont get him to captain.. Indian cricket is the best respresentation of India as a whole. No leadership, lack of commitment, no matter how old & incapable you are, you call the shots, politically motivated & name it..

You are very right!!! but his chamchas are strong. they wont allow him to go.

he is sticking there despite being unwanted. poor reserves like tiwari, raina etc., they must be cursing sachin in their hearts
