Dinesh Karthik would be the best choice as an Indian cricket captain for Tests. I feel both the youngsters/wicket keepers (Dhoni & Dinesh) will bring up the indian cricket team to world No.1. Also, the time should come to throw out Sachin, Saurav, Rahul and Anil at the earliest. Otherwise, nobody can save current indian young talents. These four old cricketers should think of the younger generation.

Dinesh Karthik has still a long way to go. He has been already shuffled toomuch in ODI's which cost his form. May be it would be ideal to groom him as a regular test opener and Dhoni can still captain the side by handing overthe gloves to DK.
Sachin, as u r of no use, please step down from ODI squad as well. Announce ur retirement soon, otherwise u never know when would u be kicked off out of the team

Hi dear,
This is not called as Maryr. He has to take a decision based on his ability, performmace, time and age. If he does not accept the captaincy, it does not mean that he is sacrificing something for Indian Cricket. It is purely his decision.
Sachin is intelligent. He knows what happend with earlier captains may happen to him too. The insulting way Ganguly and Rahul had to leave the captaincy may repeat with him too. He knows game is more important than any designation. He is true cricketer. He is dedicated to cricket and can sacrifice designations and power for the team.
It is a wise decision. Infact all players who are offered captaincy (including Dhoni) must turn it down and must put a pre-condition to BCCI to appoint a full-time coach before the tour of Australia before accepting captaincy.
It would not be fair on a captain (whoever it may be - sachin, Dhoni, Kumble or Ganguly) to be asked to lead India in Australia without a coach to share the burden. Even with a coach it is going to be an extremely stressful tour. Without a coach it just becomes impossible to match the Aussies let alone winning even a match.
BCCI neither seem to be any closer on having a coach nor do they seem to be serious about appointing a coach. I guess they will again give another veteran (70 yr old) a free ticket to tour Australia and enjoy the all-expense paid trip.
Dravid quit because he felt the stress of captaincy without a coach but the BCCI did not seem to get the message

You are right.... Dada is the only alternative
tendulkar has taken a wise decision and it is time that he takes another wise decision of turning down the offer to play for India by announcing his retirement before he is literally pushed out of the team.
It is not surprising that Tend does not want to be captain for the Aussie tour for it is known that the team will get a hiding.Dravid does not want it.Ganguly will not be cleared by BCCI,so who is left.Piquant situation when noone wants to be captain. Is Dhoni sure of his place in the Test team.India will be better off getting Karthik to open and keep, and getting a batsman like Raina or Rohit Sharma or Badrinath in Dhoni's place. If Dhoni will be in the ttteam better to give him the job.Yuvraj is another option.Again his place in the team vis a vis Ganguly?Strange and complex situation.
