Tendulkar should retire
by BahujanHitay BahujanSukhay on Nov 06, 2007 05:11 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dear Friends, it is high time that Tendularkar should retire and give way to new generation cricketers. It will be in the interest of Team India and him. Current news shows that Tendulakar was asked to take the job and he denied it for whatsover reasons undermining the post of Test Cricket captain. It looks like BCCI was begging for him to take control and he refused to take it. This is just utter disrespect to captaincy post. Captain's Post is symbolically above any individual player. It is the reward for the right player for his committment towards team. Tendularkar has already proven with his record that he never played for Team but for his personal records only. Such player if appointed as Captain will destroy team spirit and will be better if rested for whole life.

What can prompt him to pullout 2 days prior to the announcement? Is it Shoaib Akhtar's 150 kmph or Chappel's comments saying that Dhoni is not ready? Indian cricket has been at its baffeling best since few months. A captain wins in England after 21 years and guess what...he gives up captaincy without any notice. Sachin scores a 90 score in England and says one day cricket is taking its toll! Well everything here is a tale of twist and turns. It does feel sad that Sachin has not taken the captaincy to be honest, and gives an emmient feeling that we very close to witnessing the end of an era.

by dasi chinni on Nov 06, 2007 05:09 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Now It is been clear,Tendulakar plays for him self not for the country.Player like him should not turned back if nation is waiting for the future leader. He came up with a patriatic ststement after Greg's remarks about senior players "TILL NOW I PLAYED FOR THE COUNTRY"...sachin can you justify this...or some body who supports him or likes him???????
