Sharad Pawar's hatred and personal vendetta against Ganguly is responsible for this sorry state of affairs!! Do you think a tyro like MS Dhoni would be able to handle the pressure of an Australia tour??
Ganguly is the right choice, but Pawar holds a personal grudge...Indian cricket is the loser!! Ganguly should be made captain and VVS Laxman should be vice capain!!

U Seem to be a Ganguly Fan, If Sharad Pawar was Aginst Ganguly, He would Have Never been Picked in the Team.
Saurav Bootlicked Sharad Pawar to Get back into The Indian Team.
Give Chance to Dhoni, Before T20 Also Many said Same thing about Dhoni, He is Real Capataincy Potential, He is the Best Captain Currently in the Indian Side.
I hope he is not made a scape goat and really stands up for his team. He should be given his choice of team and I would think against Pakistan his first choice would be: Sehwag, Jaffer, Laxman, Tendulkar, Dravid, Yuvraj, Dhoni, Pathan, Kumble, RP Singh, Zaheer Khan (Ganguly would have to sit out unfortunately. My guess is the Mumbai lobby will pick Ganguly but will make him carry drinks. And the scapegoat captain is going to be Laxman! Tendulkar was very shrewd in not opting for the captaincy. He was really shaking in his boots of leading the team against PAK and AUS.

Ya,... I see that, Vengi would not allow that and now another added problem could be Ganguly not finding a place in the Test team. Yuvi has to come in the middle order otherwise its unfair on him.

All other tem members would need seven births to match Ganguly's record as captain.
Lets understand Sachin and Dravid understood their lack of leadership skill hence they withdrew.

ICICI, HDFC, LIC etc should come up with some good retirement plans for Sachin, Saurav, Anil, Rahul, Laxman so that they will get impressed with that and step down on the same day.

When I read this sentence that Shaurabh should be made Indian captain, I immediately saw the name of person who is adocating, and he is none other than a Begali. Sourav is in the team because of politics and he is not deserving candidate.

bcos Yuvi is a worthy candidate to replace him in the team. Cricket doesnt allow non-playing captains or 12th Man to captain a Test Team.
Lastly, if someone like Sachin is waiting down the order, opponents will always have that pshycological fear and pressure. Finally, with current playing XI, the order that I would love to see: 1. Uthappa 2. Gambhir 3. Ganguly 4. Yuvraj 5. Dhoni 6. Tendulkar 7. I. Pathan 8. Harbajan 9. Zaheer 10. RP singh 11. M. Karthik
