I think you arent having cricketing knowledge or u r like a typical indian charecter
~ COMMENTS ARE NOT JUST WELCOME..COMMENTS ARE A MUST....BRICKBATS ARE WELCOME TOO!!
1) Australia have 4 lefthanders in the top order in Phil Jacques, Hayden, Hussey and gilly!! So, we need an offspinner to trouble them and none better than Bhajji.. Anil is a must so we go with two spinners!!
2) 2 seamers in Australia is a risk..so we need to go with 3 seamers...my choice would be Zaheer for his experience, line and length...Sreesanth for his match winning ability and RP Singh/Munaf as the accurate workhorse....
3) Thus we go with 5 bowlers and one batsman short..to compensate for one batsman short, we need to go with ALL experienced batsman...
4) Dhoni cannot open thus anil Kumble will be the makeshift opener!! no other choice!!
Sehwag Anil Kumble(taking the shine off the new ball) Rahul WALL Dravid Sachin Tendulkar VVS Laxman(vice captain) Sourav Ganguly(captain) MS Dhoni Harbhajan singh Zaheer Khan Sreesanth RP Singh/Munaf Patel
A dangerous team which can trouble australia no end!! Only strategy where there is risk is opening with Kumble..that is a risk worth taking!!

It is Vengsarkar or Vengserkar, Get Ur Spelling Right.
It is quite sad to see the seniors members to turn down the captaincy, by this it is quite evident that seniors are looking to cement there place in the side rather then taking the responsibility of captaincy. The people who are still supporting Sachins decision will they agree for the same when a senior solider in batter field refuses to lead from front and if God forbid India loses the war, what will we call that solider a traitor, leading the war and sport may not be the same, but any player or individual should think as a honor to lead there country in any field.
Tendulkar by his decision has let down several fans and let no choice for BCCI to go for Dhoni.

Very well put.....but this opens the door for Ganguly who is a fine captain!!
Hey friends all the people who really know cricket or have played some time even for their local colony team know how blessed our generation is that we have seen such a gr8 batsman named Sachin Tendulkar playing. His Straight Drives, Cover Drives, Backfoot punches, Pull, flick of the wrist, Pedal Sweep(inventor of pedal sweep) awesome. His Sixes at Sharjah, his batting in WC 2003 against Shoaib Akhtar, the first batsman to have Tricolor flag on his Helmet, his Valiant effort at Chennai test against Pakistan, his 200 against aussies in Melbourne, his 152 agains Aussies in their own cuntry against McGrath, Warne n Gillespie n there are lots more he has inspired the whole generation. Even his botom hand grip which changed the batting style of present days youngsters Batsman like Sehwag, Dhoni, Yuvraj if u ask them who had inspired them n their batting they have only one answer. But from deep of my heart i want him to retire not cause he is playing bad or something he is still the best in the buisness but because he has become the fav punchbag of some of the people who dont know even the C of Cricket n in their own life are frustated n loosers. It really makes me sad n i think also to all genuine cricket lovers. If Sachin would have been from any other country then surely he would have been respected as Jewel of the country but i think this country has got more number of Loosers n frustated people.

Why nobody has ever thought about Anil Kumble as a Captain i don't understand. He is a Great thinker of the game, very agressive bowler n a humble servent of Indian Cricket. He can still be in the test team for one or two years till then Dhoni can be vice captain n learn how to lead a team in a longer version of the Game what say guys......?
