Very good decision by great Sachin. He will not be comfortable confronting selectors over team selections. That was biggest reason he failed on previous occasions as Captain in 96 and 2000.

I dont necessarily agree....whenever Sachin is there the Mumbai lobby seems to get very strong....players like Agarkar will once again come back into the team! Yuck!

Mate--as per vengsarkar's diktat only current form and fitness matters--past glory to be stuffed--so too bad--he loses out

Why do you not post something after thinking. It is very easy to accuse other people, but when you do this without thinking you only end up exposing your ignorance and bias.

i agree. Someone should tell him, focus on Captaincy and Keeping.Don't bother about batting. That will take a lot of burden away from him.

Mr. Reddy. Give some sensible suggestions (its not that ur suggestions will be taken by Dhoni). Dhoni is in the team as wicketkeeper batsman. And if he is given the captaincy, he better bat as well. Stop posting stupid comments
i think sachin is feeling low because he is not getting the attention what he was getting before and upon that youngster brought world cup so he is reall feeling like banging his head against the wall

U mad. It is not that he is not getting the attention. He is too too matured to even think about such small things. He has seen the BCCI politics, backbiting, from close quarters for a long long time. And ur thoughts abt Sachin banging his head against the wall is stupid. It is he who has turned down and not the selectors or the board who has not offered him the captaincy. Just check before writing.

ram kumar sachin refused captaincy because he is ashamed of himself because he could not bring world cup while youngster brought it

Boss. The world cup was for ODI and not test matches. And the youngster got the 2020 worldcup and not the ODI.

Just tell me why haven't Dravid, Ganguly, Kallis, Donald, Gary Kirsten, Lara, Akhtar, Waqar, Flintoff, Alec Stewart, etc didn't bring World Cup for their respective teams ? Specially Brian Lara, who is considered the best batsman of this era along side Tendulkar. Why didn't he bring World Cup for the West Indies ?

Dhoni never bought the 20-20 World CUp for India, the Indian team did. 20-20 is a joke !! It's not even worth watching. Talk about Test cricket. Let the 20-20 team any Test match against any good team otside ndia and then we'll talk about their capability.

Absolutely Ritwik. Whatever be the quality of the game. it is still difficult to win a tournament. But did Dhoni do it single handedly? No it was a team effort. This is something our pal Sawarya doesn't seem to understand.

What do you mean by world cup?????? keep in mind 20-20 was more luck than performance.......It's good time of dhoni....and it's the same where dravid failed...i.e. good time
RE:Let Dhoni Take up the job

You are right. Dhoni is really doing fine with his young team. He should be encouraged by one and all cricket lovers for bigger achievements in future.
Let the old horses be rested and not kept on racing knowing their incapacity. Further let the media not bring in debates on the old horses and bring in sympathy on them to confuse the selectors. They have played, earned, in turn did very little for any development except having their own investments. It is right time for their retirement and not keeping raking up their old achievements and de-moralise the youngsters who have a lions heart to perform and bring glory to the country.
