In current test team ,no one's place is certain except Master n Wall(These two will have place in the side on any pitch in the world).And one resigned and other rejected.Does not matter whom ever made the captain from the rest.
Make Laxman the captain. He deserves it and has a fantastic track record against the Aussies. Making Ganguly the captain is a step backwards and Dhoni doesnt have enough experience and he has to concentrate on his keeping which is not easy in a five day game. It will be a long time after a Hyderabadi is made captain after Azhar,but better late than never.

Thanks a lot Sachin for declining the captaincy and saving India. Dhoni is still learning and at present let him concentrate only on handling ODI and T20. Captaining tests is totally a different ball game. So selectors should not rush for it as if there is no one else. For me Anil Kumble is the apt choice for next 10 tests or so before he calls it a day. He plays only tests and hence he can concentrate on his job, he is fit and is in form far as tests are concerned, he is experienced and hence will command respect form his team-mates and intellegent too. And may be by doing so India will be honouring this long serving spinning legend.

Kumble is apt choice.....i do not agree bcoz he is really talented cricketer but when it comes to mental aspect of the dumb unlike ganguly who satisfies both the aspects

Kumble is the best choice for a professor or Honest Karnataka Government Officer or Public Relations officer. Not Captain. Only one is right captain material-Saurav Ganguly.
