Tend - retire please
by LOL on Nov 08, 2007 01:56 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think we have seen enough of tendulkar. Its time he retires and India gets some fresh air. Thank heavens he turned down captaincy, as it would add to the woes that India is already experiencing.

You always need someone who could motivate you on the field. 20 overs is a gully cricket which we all use to play...donot forget those days when you also use to switch off tv screen when sachin got out. Also donot forget the next series....Australian tour...all the things would be crystal clear....dude just wait n watch

That guy is a legend. It will be a sad day when he retires. You tend to forget his innumerable contributions to the game.

which youngsters you are taking about. There is replacement for everyone but name a person who could replace Sachin... So keep watching matches....let the australian tour finish then give your comments buddy....one series cannot decide the fate for 18 years of tenure....

yuraj singh for test captain
by mohammed shahabuddin on Nov 08, 2007 12:43 AM  Permalink

Better give yuraj singh the test captaincy, he is senior and experienced than Dhoni. Don't hype Dhoni much and don't bet everything on him, see reason, you make overnight a fluke god. Yuraj is a good bet.

Zaheer not a bad option
by Preshit Dattatray Upadhye on Nov 07, 2007 08:55 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I have seen replies being posted on who should captain India. Ganguly, Kumble, VVS and Dhoni are making the rounds. However I feel Zaheer could be the answer to the question.
1. He is senior and has experience
2. He is aggressive (Remember what he did to England after Jelly beans incident)
3. He is regular member in Tests and ODI's
4. He is not a Batsman (who usually takes pressure of captaincy and buckle down)
5. He is a good motivator
6. He is relatively young
7. He has experience of playing tests with all the test playing nations.

I wondered if anyone including selectors noticed this. So my choice is Zaheer followed by Ganguly and Kumble.

make sharad pawar as a nonplaying captain.

qualities:

ripe age
lots of politics
no onfield agression only off field locha
lots of money to offer opposition to lose.
good motivator
he goes to watch all matches.
can handle lots off pressure.
regular member.
can pay a player handsomely. 1 sixer-10000000dollors

etc.
you can justy go on with his qualities to be given a captains job.

the most important quality for being a captain is he does not have any knowledge of cricket thus he can take more confident and bold decisions than dhoni
