Sachin, Ganguly & Sreesanth should be dropped from the 15 man one day squad & bring RAINA, MANOJ TEWARI, AMIT MISHRA. First 11 as per batting order Gautam Gambier, Robin Uttapa, Yuvraj Singh, DHONI, Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, Irfan Pathan/ Amit Mishra ( depending on pitches), Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Murali kartick & R.P.Singh.
Dhoni is the best captain india has produced so far, so annoce him CAPTAIN for the Test also. Test Team would be Gautam Gambier/ Dinesh Kartick, Robin Uttapa, Yuvraj Singh, Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Manoj Tewari, Badrinath,Pijush Chawla, Zaheer Khan, R.P.Singh, Harbhajan Singh/ P. Ojha

u should talk like a mature man dear rather than following a cheap way of taking state names. Neither all people of Bihar/Orissa are so bad in english nor all other states are damn gud in eng. You better concentrate on the subject matter than the english itself. People like you who look for state of people or english should follow other sites than rediff news...
Number 4 is the right position to come and bat for Dhoni. He should continue to do so.This gives him enough opportunity to steady the innings and to play a long innings.Today's batting order should be persisted with. There can be changes in the players such as Sehwag for Ganguly or Gambhir for Sachin in the name of resting and promoting Irfan to No.3 and then picking Raina or Badrinath at No.7.

why we Indians always think about batting, is that makes heros? we need good bowling attack, and reliable batting side
SRT- Still the best part time bowler for India! Done in by a bad decision by the umpire! Dada- Better improve fielding, dropped Yusuf, who scored 84, bad! Great batting, but running was LOUSY, get it right dada, in Australia(if selected), you cant run like this! Gambhir-2 easy chance on consecutive deliveries, if they were taken,Gambhir's poor ODI form would have continued.Dhoni is prefering you to Sehwag, so you are lucky, but Dhoni cannot bat for you! Dhoni- Bad captaincy during fielding! Good batting!Threw away wicket on a rank bad ball. YUvraj- great batting, but again holing out in the deep.Yuvraj, dont sacrifice wicket, stay till the end! Uthappa-Beaten 4 times by Akhtar.His weaknes is out.Right now Dhoni is shieldig him from the swinging ball, by giving him middle order slot, and he slogs.But if he has to open, he will falter again. Zaheer- Lost again? Bhajji- great bowling! Karthik-great bowling Pathan-What happened? RP Singh-not the same, but bowling in the death is difficult,he bowled well at the start. UV- Great batting!

It's getting more and more clearer on DADA's overall cricketing Skill Can't Field - Dropped 3 Catches in the game. Can't run Between the Wickets - Proven again.. Can't Bowl-With his mid 60 pace, he will be killed in Indian Conditions..
Score 30 odd runs again in the game at Strike rate of 70.. He will be rested very soon..

where did you 3 catches?And 39 is not 30 odd runs, you are not a stat grad for sure,lol!
But dada can bat better, comapred to all the HEROS we have now in youth brigade, its still a game of batting, thats why we have stalwarts like Laxman,Inzy,Cowdrey,Simpson...these guys could not save their lives fielding, but were awesome bats! Did you dads staright hit off Gul?

hmm yea bit lousy in field n running between the wickets...... but he makes a difrence whn it comes to batting..... consistent performer for india.... n m sure will keep on performing.... specially against pakis..... EAT THE ALIVE....lol. hail india

actually Sudhir, some people have lost sleep ever since their hero was dropped for pathetic performances. these people have stopped all work and keep staring at dada's and sachin's performance to find any hint of mistake. if they do, they will come to this forum under assumed names, and speak rubbish about dropping them, in the false hope that - 'my favourite was dropped, adn I am hurt, see how it feels when your favourite is dropped" quite forgetting that their overall contribution is better than most yuppie youngster and DEFINITELY more than thier "hero"
It's very shame to have a person like Ganguly in the team. The way he fields, I agree Pathan too had some today but Ganguly's fielding was not even up to the first standard kid. I think it's time to go for Ganguly. It's better for him to announce the retirement from cricket or he will be thrown away by Vengsarkar sooner or later. I personally feel he's embarrasment for Indian Cricket, of course now-a-days.

Yeah. Pathan goofed up couple times, but he usually a good fielder. Ganguly is simply consistent in goofying up. His running BTW is comparable to Inzi..

it's a shame to have a comment of people likeu on this column ...... dravid is almost reliable every time against quality bowling attack like pakis..... he'd prooved lods of time. but he must b one of the unlucky fellow that his classful innings always being overshadowed by some of the selfish innings of others........

Boss please don't say so...if Ganguly Gone ...India will have mid term of election....it will be a big burden of 1200 cr on govt of india....its more imp to have him in the team than signing nuclear deal with US. Don't worry vengsarkar wont dare to touch him otherwise he will loose his job like greg chappel...ganguly is not alone like dravid...total Lal Saalam is behind him...so pls bear with him pathetic condition...n save us from having mid term election...hope u understand

I seriously doubt whether this time around Ganguly could produce the same amount of intesity he did produce against australia in 2003.
There are few resaons to cite the above,1. He was then captain, where he led by example. 2.He couldnt run between wickets as he used to be. He's clearly aged to maintain fitness.
I think by playing like this he's spoiling his reputation by himself. For Ganguly, this is the best time to retire from cricket in all forms.
If he continues to play cricket like this, soon he will be forgot for all his good work. I strongly believe this is what going to happen.
