Best way forward is to rest 2 out of 3 seniors at a time without counting Sehwag. This shd be done from Mohali onwards not that we have one match under the belt. Of the new comers Gambhir,Uthappa,Raina,Karthik,Tewary and Rohit Sharma shd be rotated in the place of 2 seniors. This is a good crop of younger players who look good. the Indian new ball attack is loking jaded.Zaheer to be given some time off to get fresh.Praveen Kumar and Pankaj Singh tobe tried in his place.

no they cant touch Zaheer now he is with Mumbai. Mumbai lobby is strong. He will helped to play along with Sachin. rotation is restricted to non Mumbai players.
Its time Sachin adds value to the team. It was nice to see him contribute in bowling in the last match. But, we have to groom younsters. We should get rid of tendulkar-ganguly opening pair and rather assign Uthappa and Gambhir that job. Both these lads are successful openers in domestic cricket. If Uthappa gets going at the top order we can easily make big scores.
Lots have been said about Sachin being unable to finish any innings and win matches at crucial stages. I think coming at 4th down will be the best option if he intends to wipe off this comment on his career. Moreover, he is termed as 'GREAT' batsman and hence I'm sure he can silent his critics w/ his performance even down the order. Just imagine Sachin hitting those winning shots for at least 4/10 matches. It will not only be great value add to his career but also treat for his fans. Lastly, if someone like Sachin is waiting down the order, opponents will always have that pshycological fear and pressure. Finally, with current playing XI, the order that I would love to see: 1. Uthappa 2. Gambhir 3. Ganguly 4. Yuvraj 5. Dhoni 6. Tendulkar 7. I. Pathan 8. Harbajan 9. Zaheer 10. RP singh 11. M. Karthik

For ur kind information we do not have players who can play opening spells (first 20 overs) outside subcontinent except Sachin and Dravid. Sachin has scored so many runs while batting as an opener. I really doubt If you have any brain. Gambhir, uthappa, Dhoni there are only good in subcontinent.

good one...but i still feel he is more destructive in the power play and another imp fact is seeing of the new ball...these youngsters are good hitters...but no foot work...just imagine them playing on australian pitches...uthappa and gambhir will be out in first 2 overs...and coming to dhoni...u know he is not at all technical...it may be a tough one...but it is good if we do it on pitches and then try on foreign soils...

Saurav is the mud on the hole of cement wall that is Dravid.
The best 11 players should play for India.Sachin is still outscoring the likes of Yuvraj ,Gambhir and Uthappa. Why discard your old car if it is giving a better mileage than your brand new car.The engine and not the body is more important.

Usman Ali ... Get your facts straight. In the Semi Final of the World Cup of 1996, Sachin was still the highest run scorer for India in that match. It was after his dismissal that the "Rest" of the team capitulated. Stop talking nonsense

hitesh--as per vengsarkar's new mantra on form and fitness sachin doesnt stand a chance--when dravid's past performances can be overlooked why bring out sachin's past glory? same yard stick needs to be applied and thats where vengsarkar will start squirming--what else can you expect of a lousy guy like him sacked from captaincy and indian team for breach of conduct!!

I agree Vox, Hitesh seems to a Mumbaikar and he sees things differently than what we look at. Do you think they could have touched Dravid if he was the captain. they put pressure on him to step down so they can treat him like a rubbish. I fear next it will be Saurav's turn this is what with all apologies to Hitesh another guy from the mumbai lobby so called selector ( Vengsarkar foolishly said just before the start of the series) He told all the selectors felt that Ganguly should be discarded but he told that if one senior goes it has to be Dravid only he knows why.

Mr. Dhoni Include the names of Sachin and Dravid on a permanent basis. Otherwise, some rasgullas may usurp Indian Cricket forever.
