For your kind information, the "other guy" is Richard Hadlee, who is one of the all-time greatest bowler with 431 wkts in 86 tests which means a rate of 5 wkts per test! Strike rate is even better than McGrath.

we should consider every aspect while selecting team. 1.political support.ganguly.2.shivsena supporting sachin.3.congress getting minority votes.zaheer and irfan .if you dont include wasim jaffer indian team will be called communal.4.regional sehwag and yuvraj.then dravid. basically my point is while selecting Indian team its a tough job for selectors where the criteria is not the performance but something else as mentioned above. the selectors themselves get selected based on similiar criteria. If this continues India will never win.
The following line up is desirable: Gautam Gambhir, Robin Uthappa, Rahul Dravid, Sachin, Saurav, Dhoni, Kartik, Zahir Khan, Anil Kumble or Piyush Chawla, RP Singh & VRV Singh. 12th Man : VVS Laxman Reserve : Ishant Sharma. Wasim Jaffer's failure in both the innings goes to prove that the only opening batting combination emerged happens to be Robin & Gautam. I think we should not disturb this combination as this one has performed better. The middle order looks pretty solid with Dhoni, Kartik, Saurav, Sachin, Dravid in more or less set positions, one wonders about chances of Laxman.
