I think leadership is highly misunderstood. You need intelligence and game skills necessary to give you confidence to manage people rather than just people skill (which is almost useless). I know our players (Indians) good at politics more than playing their individual game. Our hero worshippers cannot accept anyone less than a fashion model as a leader, why leader even as a player. If every team member is educated to understand and to play their role and that would be good enough for a meritorious captain to play his role and to take his team to great success.

I reckon that leadership skills are entirely different to the game skill set. they are in two different windows. leadership requires good people skills.

So Mr. Kuldeep what makes you think that Dhoni is a better captain than Yovraj. Leadership is necessary but before that you have to be a good player - Dhoni must have certainly won matches though giv me a game which was played outside the sub continent and Dhoni has played well. Because of him a valuable and proven player like Laxman is missing his chances- Dhoni would be really a good batsman - however only in Sub continent. I would be happy if Kartik be the wicket - keeper, Laxman a middle order batsmen and Yovraj being the Vice - Captain
I think last win for india was not fluke they did absolutely fine work to first win the toss and field at a seeming and bouncy wicket and later sensibly playing as Dravid (Before getting out ridiculously) but Yuvraj is really a yuvraj of india .. He just need better technique to play good fast bowlers .. Rest is fine and ganguly and gambhir should now be removed from team and player like Rohit sharma , Shikhar Dawhan nd T.P Singh should be given chances.. Mr Chawala was excellent and has bright future. And Powar should now take rest to improve his fieldings .. all in all nice win but india need to improve Running b/n wickets and fielding..

I admit our point. But ganguly and gambhir is still doing well to get settled.Players should be given chance continuosly to play , then only we can able to decide.By the way, our board should fix the lead time for each player to prove thier talent.
do you mean that Sachin should perform only in the Finals not in the Preliminary matches (ie., his failure is acceptable in all the priliminary matches). Come on man, he gave the chance to the team to be part of the finals, many times.

Every body want only sachin to fire in deciders why? The reasons r from last 15 years v r looking for only 1 person in the team to fire, secondly v want dont trust anybody else can do the job.
The last time Sachin helped India won a final was in Sharjah vs Australia in 1998.
If m not wrong thats the only decider in which Sachin has helped India win.
In so many finals he has missed. But still people call him God and what not. Crciket is a team sport and individual records do not matter.
In their short career players like Yuvraj Dhoni and Karthick have contributed so many times in the finals and ensured India won.Even Rahul Dravid has done it for India.
There are so many Sachin fans reading this.Can anyone point out Sachin contributing in the finals for India apart from 1998???

See a man with 15000 runs is not the one to answer anyone . He has time and again proved his capabilities. I think u forgot the last 93 he made against SA. and Wht abt Word cup 2003 against pakistan. and wht abt so many innings he played under pressure. and mostly playing in first innings due to which india has posted a lot of runs against so many teams.. You plz dont ask this gr8 man crenditials. He has not been given 54 times MOM award for playing for himself. He is still a fit man and able to answer all critics. He has strong legs to run , No body except Yuvi and kartick in current team can match his running b/n wickets capability. He can still bowl better then Harbhajan sing on given day. He can do whtever he has asked to do..
And If u can tell me 5 mans in current ERA who is 34 and has 20 centuries to there name.. some has retired and some are hanging in the cliff.
Sachin is unbeatable. I pitty people ask the crenditiality of sachin.. Really indians themselves ruin there own treasures..

Why should a team depend on Sachin always? You should not blame sachin alone for not contributing in the finals.Do to your over expectation from him, when he fails in a match, you people are not able to digest.
As you said, for a team sport, al the elven shoud take responsibitlity for either a win or a loss.No one like sachin should be cornered for either to decide win or loss.
In the last final against Southafrica , only Kemp and Gibbs made south africa to get a good score when thier top order batsman get collapsed at early for 28-4. This team spiirit is missing from India. Our Team members should learn this fighting tendency from Australia and south africans.

Why u people always talks @ sachin...this is what he proves that he is gr8...Why ppl want him to win every match...then what other ppl are doing in team...see other teams evryone contributes..When team fails/wins...ppl starts discussing @ sachin....why???...There are old ppl Dravid/Ganguly..????.....Today he is not playing to the standards set by himself thats what ppl r critising....I agree with ppl who likt to drop him from team....but get some player who can play (at least...not scores) today also,he is playing better than player in any team...His avg of 1 dayer is more than ricky ponting..Lara...Vaugh..many players in last year. Now ppl will ask whats use of that??? unless he plays how team could build total??? Many times he made winning platform..I agree he failed in Deciders but what @ roadway to the final..who carried???...Don't critise any player...I am not defending Sachin...But letting u know some facts...

I dont see any potential in the Indian Team to win any future WC,coz we dont have the professionalism and dedication to the GAME,all we play is for endorsements and Money,whats the use of having talent thats not being utilised effectively.The players who won the 1983 worldcup must be the ideal model for the current indian team which lacks TRUST AMONG MEMBERS and TEAM SPIRIT.WC is altogether a different environment,where teams play to their full potential ,totally focused,well coordinated,well planned like AUS,NZ,SA very much unlike the INDIAN TEAM where players easily succumb to the pressures during the most crucial moments of the match.
