BCCI should sack him
by Abhay T on Jul 11, 2007 02:59 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If I say software programming is same for me and I will work for every company as per my wish, would it be appropriate. There has to be some professionalism. I remember, in his final days of cricket career, Kapil Dev had asked BCCI to drop him, if they could. Very clearly he is getting big money from ICL. There is no problem if he wants to join ICL. But, it is really sad the manner in which he is doing all this. A true professional person would have respectfully given a resignation to BCCI.

Hello sir Please don't compare BCCI with software company. If you don't deliver goods in software industry next day you will be out of that compnay but in Indian team even if don't deliver also they can survive for longer time.

good reply. forget about software. to that matter in any organistaion, you cant survive if you are not delivering.as long as the board is maintained by politicians( i think), it cannot be run like any professional set up. you should leave it to the professionals even if they are not having knowledge in cricket. we are not sure if it is given to our old cricketers, they will be different than the present board.

what do you say

Kapil Dev is very smart. His job as National Academy chairman is at mercy of BCCI. It is very uncertain. He would have bargained a good deal with ICL.
Don't be under the illusion that this great cricketer is genuinely interested in the game.

one doubt....if he took one wicket each in his last 20 matches....and would have ended with 300 if he had not played them....he should have a total of 320 wickets....then how 434....something fishy no sunil?

RE:Why not
by golden king on Jul 11, 2007 02:07 PM  Permalink
Kapil dev is a legend Cricket. He should be given freedom to serve to the game of cricket and BCCI should not object to his joining ICL. If so, Sharad pawar should also choose either politics or cricket to serve the nation. Just bcos BCCI has money power, they should not try to have monopoly on the game. As many political parties contribute towards development in India, many other boards should also be encouraged rather than discouraged. Present Boeard needs to concentrate on state of Indian cricket team rather than disturb the legends of Indian Cricket. Sharad pawar may the president today but kapil dev is all alltime legend and his glory cannot be erased from the book of indian cricket.

Kapil Dev has nothing to lose when it comes to money. He has lots of money from his business and golf.. Its the BCCI who are threated by his openness. What problem does BCCI have anyway? Its just that if Kapil discloses much of its activity then BCCI will be exposed!!!

Go ahead Kapil, We all are with you. Crush these BCCI money makers...
