I think this is the team Rahul is planning to field in the WC might replace Agarkar or Munaf with Kumble or Irfan if required. Nothing wrong in it only concern is he is fielding Sehwag in place of Uthhapa. Lets see how Sehwag fares.

dont worry WC is still a month long & mark my words,INDIA vil not even qualify for the semi-finals.
Ganguly , zaheer and sehwag have been kicked out of their comfort zone. Zaheer and ganguly have come out more professional and disciplined. Am sure sehwag will too follow. kudos to chappel. I feel sehwag will take us the distance this wc.

Partiv cannot hit the ball hard, if he can hit 6 six's in an over then he will be pinch hitter.

I think Rahul Chappel combo is gambling with India by backing two out of form players like Shewag and Irfan. We will pay heavily for not taking Kaif and Powar. Dibyendu

YES. I agree. Sehwag and Irfan are a liability. Sehwag is a very bad choice. Going by his present form he has to struggle to get himself in a club level team. Instead of selecting him India could have gone ahead with 14 members itself. It will make a lot of differnece bcoz we will not have one batsmen who will spoil our chances... Am I right ???

*grin* Point. Though to be fair, it is not the catching but the outfielding, chasing the ball etc that the seniors struggle with.

Agreed. But as long as we dont have more than one Munaf, i guess we will survive. It shouldnt be tough to find them positions where the team can get away with out costing them too many runs as long as they hold on to their catches.
Look at this way, the catch Sachin just made turned the momentum on its head, India's way forcing the rest of the batsmen to be very careful in their approach.

The selection of Parthiv Patel form day 1 was the wrong choice. Without playing any domestic matches how he got the chance of getting a Indian team cap. No one survive in along run with having godfather in selection committee. the mercy of sele

Say Parthiv to Learn Wicket Keeping and not to Drop bowl from hand when bowl comes in his hand. he drops bowl at least once in a over. after that we think about him to be used as a pindh hitter. ashish

I feel pity on the WC Team selection.Three Wicket keepers ? Dhoni,Dinesh and Rahul ?Can we afford this luxury ?We have ignored a specialist on form Spinner - Powar and a specialist Fielder - Kaif as a result of this.We will regret for such decision .

Come on Don't compare Dhoni with Parthiv Patel. The selection of Parthiv Patel form day 1 was the wrong choice. Without playing any domestic matches how he got the chance of getting a Indian team cap. No one survive in along run with having godfather in selection committee.

Um, Parthiv Patel would be the guy who went as the sole wicketkeeper of the 2003 WC squad, and didn't play a single game?
