he looks like a pumpkin and cannot be used as model for advertisements and bcci cannot earn money with him. That is the correct equation :).
One of the recent phenomena in world cricket is the emergence of WK batsmen who have elevated their standards way above their predecessors.
Srilanka and Australia in my view enjoy the best advantage in this regard since their Wicket keepers are also in the bracket of some of the best one day batsmen in the world. Gilchrist and Sangakkara are in a class of their own. Dhoni, Akmal and Boucher can be grouped in a category that follows behind them.
Australia will miss Gichrist sorely in the initial stages of the cup. Haddin may be a good bat, but he definitely is no gilchrist and that is like losing the advantage of having an extra bat in the line up.

I totally agree with you. I also think that Dhoni should become more consistent and contribute on a larger scale for India. He has potentials in him.

Ganguly is the best captain india ever had! he has the highest number of wins compared to any other captaincy. More over, Dravid scored 5 runs in the last game and his scoring has been deteroiting since long time

Good Idea. This will also give some lesson to Dravid also who is also not performing to his class.

We r preparing in 2007 for 2011 world cup. Dravid is cool, till then our boys can start realising the potential.

I am not astrologer dear! Its the Indian public who had pumped billions to the game is hero, not these bunch who plays there....despite loosing hundreds of matches over the years we are yet to come to reality!!

Fantastic. I am sure that if the same is sent today they will definitely do better than the presently selected team. Even at this age they can perform better.

dear buddy i think u hav forgot the abysmal performance of his downunder in 2003-04. he almost single handedly plucked draw for aus from jaws of defeat for them. he just couldn't keep well yaar....
I wonder what it would take for players like Robin Uthappa, Ramesh Powar to get a decent chance within the team. How long can we persist with players for what they are capable of rather than what they are delivering.
My sincere sympathies with Ramesh Powar but then even he must have known his fate with no godfather or clout.
