Indian selectors are blind as regards to sehwag. Today also he gifted his wicket when its known that sensible batting from him would put the match beyond Srilanka reach. Fellas I am sorry to say that Sehwag does not merit a place in the Indian team for as long as he does not give value to his wicket.
Sehwag was taken in the team as an all-rounder but he didnt bowl a single ball.He was taken in the team as a bowler who can bat.Hats off to Rahul Dravid for selecting Sehwag.
Dinesh Karthik standing in the position usually manned by Yuvraj was a minor flaw in India's field setup today. He missed a catch, let go a couple of boundaries through him, as he never managed to time his dives. Still, no fault on him as he is basically a WK. In future, India must strictly adhere to specialist fielders on those positions which are very vulnerable to attack.
There should be no complaint on who plays and who doesnt, the main aim of todays crickiee at this part of the time is to test the forms of the playes and lets wait and see wat happents.
The result of this series does matter cus both India and SL are in the same group during the 1st stage of WC 2007!!! This series would boost the confidence og the winning Side!!!

Somebody tell me - Is Sehwag a bowler or not? When he cannot bat they tell that he is in the team as a bowler..but when conditions require..he is not bowling and sachin and saurav bowl..wassup?

I am no fan of Sehwag's stubborn ways. But, check out Sehwag's bowling record in the last tour to Windies.
Also, agreed that Saurav batted well but it does not mean we call his bowling also as "heroic". 14 runs of 2 overs? You think that's good?
You are right in saying Sehwag should have bowled. But we don't know why he did not bowl today. It's possible Dravid did not want to bowl him today for good reason. It's possible that Sehwag is certain to go to WC and they are trying to decide whether to take Kumble or not. That's why Kumble played and bowled 10 overs instead of Sehwag. And thank goodness Kumble failed badly today - he doesn't have much to offer for the WC.
so far so good....altough the sri lankans have made a decent score...with the likes of dhoni..sehwag..uttappa..kartik its still pretty east target.Tendulkar..dravid and ganguly can be dependaple if the top four fail..this looks like the best team ever...just wondering where would yuvraj..kaif..and zaheer would fit in
