we need a strong coach like chappel to be reinstated and remove all the ageing oldies so that we can have a fresh team with youth in it then only our sad state of affair will improve

Rather than the selectors/coach the subcontinent badly need foreign administrators to run the respective boards.
Kirsten is absolutly right. We better clarify the feelings of the players before Kirsten signs on the dotted lines. Otherwise there will be unnecessary arguments later which will affect the team adversly. We need a coach for sure, as it will bring discipline, plan strategy,tactics with senior players etc. Who it should be depends on who isthe best we can get.
As far as planning and strategies are concerned we donot need a coach. Kumble himself can manage better than anybody in tests. Dhoni and Rajput have shown their abilities that they can manage it in ODIs. Let Rajput continue as cricket manager. What we really need is a bowling coach and a fielding coach. It is quite clear that both Venky and Robin have their limitations. We need a bowling coach of the caliber Fenil De Villiers,Wasim Akram or Courtney Walsh. We need a fielding coach of the caliber Steve Waugh, Derryl Cullinen or Arjuna Rantunga. Further Kirsten being contemporary with Dravid, Tendulkar, Ganguly and Kumble ego problems will crop up unless they are likeminded.
The problem with We indian is that we constraint ourself to the extent of tasting fruits only and do not mind who actually put the plant of particulars fruit. In my opinion , Greg chappel vision was long and that is the reason he always supportive of young talent . Under his tenure only , Player like Dhoni,R.P.Singh, Srresant,Kaif and so many player were groomed . The only reason of his failure in India was that Senior player did not like that simply because their place in team itself was a question mark. The most selfish player in the current team is Saurav . He is such a player who always plays for himself only. See the pity , Team is carrying old brigade whereas player like Yuvy is sitting outside . Was it possible under Chappels coacing - absoultely not .
That is the reason Chappel was kiked out . Hope my fellow in this forum will agree with me .

chillax girl..But u seem to have a point..but here is the deal..till the time the seniors perform..no one can do anything..saurav sachin and rahul all three are performing..and frankly speaking...they are way better than yuvraj even on current form..Yuvraj is talented..but as kumble said he has 2 wait..coz in test no one can beat the Fab 4 as of now..even if they are old..see what they get into a match...You got an extra seamer in saurav...a decent spinner in sachin(he's better than yuvi)..an outstanding crisis man in dravid..and a excellent reflexes laxman....The point position is not tht imp in test matches..and frankly yuvi doesnt have those skills as yet to deserve a test spot in place of any of these 4...
