Who the hell wrote this article??
by navin aysola on Aug 23, 2007 03:44 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Partisan approach? Absolutely.
It's just one game that they played badly. Even if they lose 2-3 matches in the series, it's okay. Winning the series is important.

After a brilliant test series, the best team work ever seen in a long time, one bad match should not change the attitude of people, especially journalists.

Indian journalism, from TV to print to the web is getting from bad to worse.

It's all be sensationalism, breaking news and criticism. Pathetic is not the word for this article.

Get a life guys. People are bound to get carried by articles like these.

yes, these people never ever had patience and needs sensalism on everything.

Its one of those days everything failed. Remember this is the team that won the test series after starting badly in the 1st test.

Indians are always slow starters be it in one days or test matches.

INDIA'S POOR PERFORMANCE IN FIRST ONE DAY IN ENGLAND
by MANO KAVIN on Aug 23, 2007 02:55 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

100% O K
CANNOT BAT
CANNOT FIELD
CANNOT BOWL

INDIANS ATLEAST SHOULD TAKE CARE ANY ONE OF THE ABOVE CATEGORY IN THE REMAINING MATCHES.

POOR BATTING PERFORMANCE.

BATSMEN WILL GET 100 OR MORE WHEN PLAYING AGAINST SCHOOL TEAMS

OR GETTING 400 PLUS IN AN INNINGS WHEN PLAYING AGAINST JAPAN OR BRAZIL

WHAT ABOUT BOWLERS? ABSOLUTELY NO USE

Captancy myth and reality Dravid vs Dada
by Bango Khota on Aug 23, 2007 09:42 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Saurav Ganguly
matches captained 147
Matches won 76
Win percentage 51 %

Rahul Dravid
matches captained 73
Matches won 39
Win percentage 53 %

Now tell us why and how Saurav Ganguly is better captain than Rahul Dravid? We have played badly as we do for years with little bit of sparkle in between.

Why this halla Hoo..?
Just because some want Saurav as captain?
In fact percentage of win against minnows is more in case of Saurav Ganguly and percentage of win against stronger teams is more in case of Dravid.

another fact is that Ganguly's team reched finals of 2003 WC and almost the same team could not win against Bangladesh also in 2007..DUe to Dravid's stupid slavery he did for Chappel just to keep his captainship..

hello...buddy..who is rahul draid??? if dada had nt given support to dravid (when dada was captain)at the time of his bad form,,,,,TODAY WE ALL WOULD HAVE FORGOT THE NAME...RESPECTED " RAHUL DRAVID".BUT WHEN RAHUL'S TIME CAME....EVERY BODY KNOW..WHAT WAS A GREAT EFFORT THAT WAS OF DRAVID TO ELIMINATE DADA FROM THE TEAM....OK..SO THERE IS NO SPACE TO GO FOR A COMPARISON...ITS ONLY POSSIBLE FOR DADA TO COME BACKKKK WITH A BANG TO THOSE .... PEOPLE...COZ HE IS THE REAL TIGER...THE BENGAL TIGER...

Rahul and saurav started playing test cricket togather about 8 years before he became captain. What is this false propoganda?

stange. Ganguly helped DRAVId to be in the team. If you know statistics, Dravid averages 100.55 in tests and 40 in one days undr Ganguly's captaincy. Nobody dared to touch Dravid. enlighten urself with the statistics.

Too Blunt and Too much True
by Crick fan on Aug 23, 2007 04:12 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The above artical is too blunt but precisly to the point. We have just lost one match and the Public/ Media pressure will built up if the loose next two, which I wishfully hopes does'nt happen. But the way they have played the 1st match this possibility is not much far away.
We have seen the how we have fared at WC, and recent one day matches. The problem is visible. We need to put in new good batsman instead of the old stars to make it fighting unit.

the clear visible problem is THE ATTITUDE...they r playing as if they d`nt know any strokes. it is frustrating rather enjoying sachin`s strokeless, fearfull, faulty cricket.
youngsters watching him in recent times may learn more how to get out cheaply

Yes Sad to see Sachin struggling and this attitude of his of sttubornly batting is rubbing onto other batsman as well.
Dravid is not playing any wonders for last one year. Time to some seniors and put some new ones as batsman.

Still you doubt for FLUKE
It is a fluke; rain saved first match, rain gave advantage in second match

How India wins after 21 years in England
First Advantage
Key players injured
1-Steve Harmison
2-Matthew Hoggard
3-Andrew Flintoff

Second Advantage
Rain
Is any doubt?

Who is responsible for RAIN and ILLNESS of english players??

India have no role in those affairs and Indian team went there to face their best 11, So, dont cut short Indian victory bcoz it was their responsibility to select best 11.....

Why a victory should not be celeberated when all the matches in this series will be counted similar to other TOUGHER series.....

Dont cry and enjoy the game....criticise bad performance but appreciate good show....

You call steve harmison with 37.04 average in the last 12 months of test cricket(13 test matches during that period ) and Matthew Hoggard with 38.35 average in the last 12 months(10 test matches during that period) as key players. What do you call sidebottom who is in the team instead of steve harmison with an average of 25.75 in the same period and tremlett who is in the team instead of matthew hoggard with an average of 29.69. Going by the recent performance and their overall bowling average India would have had upper hand if Steve Harmison and Matthew Hoggard were in the team instead of Sidebottom and Tremlett.

Please do some research or atleast watch cricket before calling steve harmisson and matthew hoggard as key players. if they are key players then RP Singh and Sreesanth are world class bowlers

Batting...Bowling...Fielding!!!
by Babu A on Aug 22, 2007 07:15 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

When India was bowling they said no assistance from pitch...Anderson got 4 wickets. England batted first so for sure it was not difficult to bat. England fielded fabulously proof was the run outs and the way runs were squeezed out...Dravid said ball would come onto bat...dew factor...would all play a role later in the evening!!! But,no factor influences if you want to play good cricket and want to win.

Our Guys lacked will...focus...to win. The way our guys played, It was like watching one of those school level matches...

PULL UP YOUR SOCKS GUYS...ELSE YOUR TEST VICTORY WAS A FLUKE!!!

That's why Kapil says ICL will produce fearless cricketers

That's why Kapil says ICL will produce fearless cricketers. These bunch from BCCI always panic and play out of any rational. The competetion between BCCI and ICL atleast may be healthy.
