Here is a thought. The Indian sports associations and federations like the cricket,Football,Hockey ,Athletic etc which have been mostly run at the behest of the politicians should be dissolved and a democratic set up should be established. The reason being they know nothing about sports and are just there becuase they enjoy some political clout.Neither should these be run by business man. The Sports Ministry should show some real mettle to dissolve these and appoint somebody who has been involved with the individual games in some capacity like player/Coach etc. If its not done then we can very well expect more of Kapil episodes...

Yes, time has come to stop any monopoly on sports. BCCI is truly private company as per registration papers and are now ttrying to avoid entry of other associated companies to enter the arena. How can this be tolerated? Like airlines, telephone services Governmnet of India should come forward wit aill in Parliament to allow any private organisations to promote any sports leave alone Cricket and encourage competition to gather best talents. Even film industry has changed its attitude as well Information & Broadcasting Ministry. Why not Sports Ministry. BCCI selected boys or women playing cricket at World levels means only private competitions. Ministry should appoint panel of selectors to select best performing men and women for cricket competions and represent India officially and this is what is urgently required. Men in Blue is not BCCI's monopoly. Why not the grounds claimed to be of BCCI be taken over by Government

I agree with you. Also, who made BCCI the official caretaker of Indian Cricket. The fact is that they are afraid of rivalry and I can say that THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF THE END OF BCCI.
Kapil has done one step better than what he did by winning WCUP and series in England,he has exposed the 75 yrs of Hypocricy in BCCI by doing this with a bold step,what nonsense is Srinivasan talking by saying BCCI will not stop anyone from joining anyone but not select those who join ICL,that in itself proves there is Monopoly and Discrimination,if he had said the best player will be selected to play for India no matter which club he plays for then it wouldve proved BCCI was fair,it was never fair and will never be fair until these foxes like Sunny Gavaskar or Srinivasan or Niranjan Shah or Shastri or people like Vengsarkar head the panels...sorry to say this but this is all Brahmin dominated organisations,wherever there is money and power the Brahmins take over,this is the sorry state of our country.
I think this ICL thing is another shock innings from Kapildev, like his great innings of 175. It appears he is going to change indian cricket establishment. That's characteristic of him. He is different, a champion. Kapildev Zindabad!

not to worry kapil. bcci is a club in india and not authorised representative of indian govt. they think they r above the laws of nation. they hv no right to do such non-sense. their actions r highly illegal to be quashed in a court of law. pl fight the battle for the newly joined players in icl to get them back their due worth. they hv no right to withhold their pension also. Pl ask govt. to withhold tax breaks given to bcci.
This country has been hijacked by non performers. A class of parasites and useless people rules this country. They have been surviving too long on the good work done by people like you, Dhan Raj, Tatas. Now they only need sarkari peons holding communist flags. Reality is top leadership of this country is responsible for bringing people like the present President and Powar. Just forget about national interest and work for international interest. Once they do not need you, tell this country , you also don't need them. Work for some country who gives the best of money and respect to your work and let them be left to quarrel among them selves.
