Look old man at 80 has done to hockey, Pawar you are on right track.
by anil rathaur on Aug 21, 2007 05:20 PM  Permalink

Look old man at 80 has done to hockey, Pawar you are on right track. I dare why don,t you take other association like kabddi, volleyball.
But you are very smart, BCCI though they say represent India, become Indian representative abroad, but don,t show the ledger of accounts and misdeeds. Pawar knows it very well and so all other politicians. Everybody is milking but alas the cricket at the domestic level is just pathetic.
why don't they kick the politician's out who are handling 4-5 offices, does BCCI has guts to kick out pawar or any politcians.

But Does BCCI really represent India...?
by Anand Vijay Khatavkar on Aug 21, 2007 05:20 PM  Permalink

In a reply to court two years back during the Dalmia episode, BCCI had clarified that it is a private company registered with British Colombia.

Since they do not represent India as a country, we can safely consider them as a Bunch of Monkeys headed by Mr.Pawar, who are after all the money made by the cricketers.

It is also an open secret, each player who wants to play for Ranji and BCCI has to bribe a lot of people and ends-up making endorsements to compensate himself.

Kapil sacked
by amitava sarma on Aug 21, 2007 05:20 PM  Permalink

What can this Sharad do-a dirty or rather more than dirty politician as he is meanness of such intensity was only to b expected of him. Kapil is not only a Legend but a thorough gentleman who always looked after the interest of the Players. Only the other day in the Rajiv Gandhi Presentation he was accorded the award for the Outstanding sportsperson who led India to its only World Cup Victory. I feel BCCI should be scrapped and all the money illegally amassed by them shd be transferred to ICL.

Now it is BCCI Vs ICL
by Sudharsan Vijayaraghavan on Aug 21, 2007 05:18 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Some one should stop BCCI using the Indian cricket team and they should instead use BCCI cricket team. They run cricket on public money and claim that it is a private society. Then the team represents the society and not the country.

1.Let BCCI bring their operations out with transparency.
2. Let them should where the billions are spent on and then let them claim the team India status.

Who's BCCI to ban someone for life?
by gautam none on Aug 21, 2007 05:18 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Who's BCCI?

Can a private body own the name 'India'? - No
So how can BCCI say that it will ban someone for life?

If its so confident, let the players it select represent BCCI and not India, nobody will care to watch those matches. We like cricket as its a game which has the name India next to Sachin et al and we are fans of Indian team not a BCCI team. We follow team India and not the players, they come and go, but team India remains forever.

So someone out some sense into BCCI or even better a PIL that BCCI cant monopolise the game and if it wants to bar it from using the name - Indian team.

Congrats Kapil and ICL.
