ICL
by Manohar Rao on Aug 22, 2007 01:01 PM  Permalink

I think ICL is the best thing to happen to Indian cricket.I do not understand why BCCI is feeling threatned,it should support such proffesional bodies to look after the domestic leagues.It will save BCCI lot of money and time.Do not look ICL as a parallel body.In India we have lot of NGO's it doesn't mean that they are parallel Govt.BCCI should end its monopoly and should not deny young cricketers from earning which is their birth right.The BCCI should allow such organisations and should only look after International cricket and should ask for players from such organisations who will be better professionals.In fact they can make contracts on match by match basis,the players should be free to decide to play international matches or domestic matches(ICL matches).International matches will bring them fame and domestic(ICL) matches will bring them money.THe BCCI and ICL should work in tandem so that palyers of International quality are always available to BCCI for international fixtures.
BCCI doesn't want to loose its monopoly and hence the behaviour.The Indian Govt. to liberalise the sports so that proffesional bodies be allowed to train these sportsmen with best of facilities.In this modern world money is the main driving force,if money is earned in sports then more and more people will take sports as proffesion and that day will not be far when Indian sporstmen win Gold medals in Olympics.The Govt. should intervene and stop monopoly of BCCI.

Competitor always should be welcomed
by Mahesh Patro on Aug 22, 2007 12:58 PM  Permalink

See while selecting Indian team there should not any leage or any club. BCCI should be above of all club or organisation. And BCCI should have rights to select players from any club.
BCCI =>
=> ICL
=> May be other Clubs or BCCI it self.

banned bcci

Kapil has done one step better than what he did by winning WCUP and series in England,he has exposed the 75 yrs of Hypocricy in BCCI by doing this with a bold step,what nonsense is Srinivasan talking by saying BCCI will not stop anyone from joining anyone but not select those who join ICL,that in itself proves there is Monopoly and Discrimination,if he had said the best player will be selected to play for India no matter which club he plays for then it wouldve proved BCCI was fair,it was never fair and will never be fair until these foxes.

Mr Bala,
People like you can only support dictators.Everybody have the right to earn and also recognition.Mr Dinesh is right,BCCI should have the sole right to decide international fixtures and should do talent search from ICL or other clubs and when an international player is free,then he should be allowed to play in BCCI's domestic matches or ICL organised matches.

Media...
by Kart on Aug 22, 2007 10:48 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Everybody is supporting Kapil dev saying that he should not be sacked from NCA.Yesterday I was watching a news channel which said they wanted to bring Kapil dev but there was clause in his contract that he cannot speak other news channels as another news channel has hied.
So my question is Kapil is going to talk about cricket in other news channels too then why he is been not allowed to talk to other channels.In the same way the BCCI has said that if he works for other organistaion he cannot work in the NCA.
They are doing the same thing which the media is doing, so media has no right to criticize BCCI as they are following same thing.

Mere dost Sahane,
The NCA position was an honorary post - no salary! So Kapil paji thought to take up something that earns him some moolah. What's wrong in that sahaneji?
And any parallel league shouldn't upset BCCI so much unless they feel threatened, which they are actually feeling. This only augurs well for Indian cricket. Let the most professional body take charge of the game.
Kya bolte hoe?

SAHARA WHO IS THE OFFICIAL SPONSER OF TEAM INDIA, HAS AGREED TO SUPPORT SUBHASH CHANDRA'S ICL.

I WISH OTHER BIG GIANTS LIKE RELIANCE, TATA, UB GROUP, DLF MUST COME IN SUPPORT OF ICL.

HEHEHE THAT WOULD BE A TIGHT SLAP ON THE FACE OF BCCI.

FOR LAST 75 YEARS THIS CORRUPT BCCI HAS RULED OVER CRICKET AS A MONOPOLY ONLY FOR EARNING MOOLAHS.

A TIME WOULD COME WHEN ICL WOULD BE MUCH BIGGER THAN BCCI.

BCCI WOULD GO TO HELL AS SHARAD PAWAR HAD EARLIER TOLD THE REPORTERS.

HEHEHE

FOR THE BENIFIT OF THE GAME & UPLIFTMENT OF STRUGGLING CRICKETERS I PERSONALLY SUPPORT ICL & REQUEST EVERYBODY TO SUPPORT ICL RATHER THAN BCCI RUN INDIAN CRICKET PLAYED BY ADVERTISING AGENTS WHO HAS ACHIEVED THE RETIREMENT AGE & MANAGED BY PEOPLE WHO KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT CRICKET. IT PROVES THAT HOW WORTHLESS IS BCCI WITHOUT JAGMOHAN DALMIYA. BCCI IS A SPINELESS BOARD WITH A SPINELESS CAPTAIN & SPINELESS TEAM.

Welcome I C L, bye bye BCCI.
by BHASKARAN GANESHAN on Aug 22, 2007 08:29 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The places in the National Team are reserved and occupied for a few so called Great Players. Rahul does not deserve to be a captain, Sachin is long spent, Agarkar himself cannot explain why he is still there, Ganguly has promised to keep his mouth shut, so he is there. Place denied to upcomming and promising players is the result of this league. ANYWAY A BIG WELCOME TO THIS NEW LEAGUE. I would now subscribe to Zee. This national team is only for Mumbai and for Maratha.
