Way To Go ICL !!! BCCI is scared !!!
by RamaKrishna Vaddiparthi on Aug 21, 2007 06:12 PM  Permalink

BCCI's decision to sack Kapil was anyways on the cards after the recent announcements & press conferences of ICL. The same holds good for the proposed ban on the players joining ICL from domestic & internation cricket on behalf of the nation.
What BCCI is clearly not accepting here is the already proven point of ICL with the initial tremors and the awesome support it's already receiving from the masses.
My prediction today, which might sound a bit too radical & beyond possibility in our bureaucratic framework going by the history, is that in the near future, BCCI has to succumb to its fate of failures and face the real heat - as, ICL will surely be a huge hit and will be a tremendous crowd-puller. I'm keen to see more stars to join the league - expecting Warne, Murali & McGrath and many more!!! Finally, for once, there's someone to beat the !@#$ out of BCCI "for the love of the game."

Agreed that guys in BCCI are not in a position to govern it, but , But what do you mean by " many of our best players are not given a chance". In fact only the best are in the team.
You can argue by saying that becos of BCCI "new talent is not exposed to this game of cricket in India".

what i mean to say is that....there are some players in India..who are not given much chance to prove....It is always difficult to select 11 out of 105 crore poplulation....there should be different people like ICL to promote cricket...end of the day it improves quality of cricket........

They are helping to Improve standards of cricket...which we all like to see....how many cricket grounds does BCCI build after having 100 crors of revenue per year....It is not about having money....it is about how effectively it is utilized

Good Decesion

Sacking of kapil dev is a good decesion. i second this decesion. when a person is working in other company and helping other company. then you will have to sack that person there is no other option you have. pls remember both BCCI and ICL are pvt. companies. BCCI is also a pvt. board."

by slicktiger on Aug 21, 2007 06:09 PM  Permalink

why isn't BCCI sacking players who join English clubs every year ?
Why isn't England board stops their players from playing Clubs?
Sarad Pawar is better of a politician than BCCI chairman. quit the board Mr. Pawar!!

Right so that Kapil is sacked, who has done nothing with NCA or BCCI. The player who have joined ICL are those who have no reputation as cricketers and it is good for BCCI so that some fresh player will play domestic cricketers.
