India lost to the world champions.We have not beaten them since 2004 Jan.I think the aussies have won 70-80 % of matches that they have played against india.
West Indies are in prime form now and things are working for them really well.
Just hold on you will see India doing really well in the world cup, may even go all the way to win it.
After the South Africa tour India will return battle hardened , that will help in world cup.
The coach and the team management are working hard.As fans of the team you should support the team during the bad times.Blaming Greg or Rahul will not help.

I, venkata ramana who is a fan of Indian Cricket Team would like to state the following few lines to be considered by BCCI.
1) For the last two tournaments Indians are shown their poor performance due to their high confidence & will.
2) The Indian bowling is not upto standards as per last years' performance.
3) How the Coach & Management is not taking up serious decisions for the welfare of the India.
4) One Billion Fans are wasting their team to watch the bad performance by Indian Cricket Team.
5) Every Match the board has to deduct some percent on bad performance & loss of the game.
6) These days day by day the cricketers' fee & wages are increasing by BCCI on what basis. Are they doing any sacrifice to India? Why the BCCI was not taking harsh decisions on the cricketers?
7) Also every cricketer is earning so much money on advts. in India & the Co's are paying so much money on this. If one match won by India what's the greatest qualification on them.
8) These days except Rahul Dravid & Ajit Agarkar nobody have sport spirit to win the match.
9) Sachin, Yuvraj, Kaif, Raina & Dhoni all are flapped in both the series.
"Failures are the pillars of success".Win comes after a defeat.Right now most of the Indian cricket players hv excellant records in foreign soil.Coach Or Team physio can take care of players out of the middle not in the real show.I don't know why should hire international coach,whether India has given number of great cricketers in world cricket i.e. Sunil Gavaskar,Kapil Dev, Krish Srikant,Javagal Srinath,Madan Lal etc.Refer to the 2003 World Cup in South Africa,Sandip Patil had been indulged as coach for the non test cricket playing country,Kenya,but Kenya made their place to semifinalist.This is called "Mental application".Approach of positive thinking should be there.We have every thing,but we don't know how to utilise our resources.In my this opinion,i just wd like to suggest,first we shd have excellant Bowling & Fielding coach,preferred he shd be an Indian.Opening batsmen shd be best two out of eleven players becoz an excellant start as if 50 to 100 runs along with wicket being saved up to minimum first 15 overs wd be effective.Normally we find India struggle in first 15 overs with losing 4 to 5 top orders batsmen.Rahul Dravid is the best batsman in the world in No.3 position.
I think this is the high time when indians should stop concentrating on their advertising campaign and start concentrating on the cricket match. Our bowling was poor our batting was poor and we failed in all areas of the game.... SO i think this is the right time to pull up our socks and start preparing for the world cup,if this performance continues we will not even enter the quarter finals of the world cup.....
As we all know that on paper we are second to none but in crunch games, hardly we have performed and we have defeated aussies only 3 times out of last 20 games played.There is no doubt that we have the skills but we lack in implementing in right diretion.I am not in favour also for over experimentation as it shows the adverse effects on pathan.We need to bring two important players ie kumble and laxman since laxman made comeback after last world cut whenever he has played his strike rate is above 80 and he has delivered in important games and if laxman would have been in indian team on sunday game he would not have wasted those important 10 deliveries of lee bowling and sure we could have scored more 15-17 runs.Kumble bowling is also important since he never bowls any no balls or wide balls and his strike rate is very good.Only to say that these players are not good fileders and not selecting them is not right.And if possible drop sehwag since he is not consistent and bring back uthapa or any new talent.and deop the non performers like raina, mongia ,and R P singhetc.then our team can become world beaters.
I feel the problem isnt confined to the team.The problem is with the system.There is just too much gap between the Ranji and the International level.What we see in the form of results is just the symptom not the disease.
The problem is the lack of capability ,in the team.So the cure can be :
1) The international players must be made to play atlseat 20 days of domestic cricket.
2) That way the international players can be rotated ,and best performers be selected for imp tourneys.
3) Instead of providing greentops to the teams like Aussies ,one should first make them available to our greenhorns.
And finally to conclude ,the cure for the present situation can be...lets make our bowlers bowl to a field.As for the batters ,lets not compare there ability on the basis of how many fifties they make ; but how many 50-run partnerships they build.That will be all..
