Indian Team going on downwards
by Manoj kumar .S on Oct 30, 2006 10:48 PM  Permalink

We are sad to see Indian players are playing with blind fold eyes. I prefer if one player is not playing good for continously 4/5 matches, he must be thrown out of the team, the same with the bowlers also.- take example with the foreign teams. Our palyers don't have spirit & stamina to fight against top teams. If West Indies can beat Australia, why can't Indian team do so. Now it is the correct time to pick-up the Indian team for the world cup, nor it will be too late. I prefer Sourav Ganguly to be given a chance against the South Africans. All the players know how to fill their pockets. All the players must learn lesson from seeing other Intl'. teams.

how to make India world-beaters?
by k. thanikasalam on Oct 30, 2006 10:38 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

hi,
It is a not easy one to become a world class team, but it is reachable. For that every one in the team should have strong mind first than physical fitness. cricket is team work, no one personally win all matches. so all 11 men should work together to win a single match.
This is the correct time to correct our player for their physical and mental fitness for coming-up world cup 2007.
on the same time our board should bring the suitable players for opp. team, that is very important. other wise it is very difficulties to win all matches and become a world class team.

Reg Indian Cricket players
by Avinash Chary on Oct 30, 2006 10:16 PM  Permalink

It was not a surprise that India lost the crucial match against Autralia.I think it was a deliberatly taken defeat!! Our so called "Men in Blue" are no more interested in playing but are more interested in doing ads. So by losing the crucial match against Australia, and for that matter, making losing losing a habit, is moreover so that they can spend more time in studios and shooting of Ad films! That is more money with less hardwork. They don't have to spend hours standing in the hot sun for doing those ads as they have to stand while playing! So by losing.....they just get that extra time.....which they can spend in studios.

In my opinion, to make India world - beaters, first and foremost the players should be banned from doing any ads. Secondly, they should also be banned from using their mobile phones when they are undergoing their training! Playing is their duty! And using mobiles on duty, is always a risky thing,it affects performance! And thirdly, they should not have a fixed pay, but their pay should be based on their performance! I guess by doing these three things, the performance and picture of Indian Cricket will change, and it will change for better!

Good Team Selection
by R.G.SHANKAR on Oct 30, 2006 10:11 PM  Permalink

The repeated failure of shewag has demorolised Indian team. He has not contributed enough and our opening partnership failed to contribute to a good score. It is different when India playing Test matches. Shewag performing well in the Test cricket that is the reason India's sucess rate is high in the Test cricket. As he is failing in the one day format which is in turn detorating confidence of Sachin as the opening partnership is not producing good enough runs. Sachin always enjoyed good partnerships which is not happening due to shewag's poor performance. I suggest he should be dropped. Also the selection is not doing their duty properly. They have omitted Ganguly and they have not found a replacement for him. Defenately Raina, Kaif, Jaffer are not the perfect replacement for Ganguly. They have to find a replacement for Ganguly until he is removed. As for as bowlers it is sure that Zaheer will fail again. The youngsters have not done their jobs unlike Ganguly, Dravid & Sachin did in the past. If this continues then Indians will finish up at the bottom of the table. The youngsters should perform and the seniors have done in the past. Now it time for the youngsters to perform.

Collective Failure
by santh on Oct 30, 2006 10:04 PM  Permalink

Our team is nothing but a bunch of failures. Board can recall Ganguly who has very less failures as a batsman and more successfull as a captain. How come that the top brass in the team is being retained in the team inspite of their consistant failures and the new comers are axed without any justice. Truly it reflects the influence of few external elements in the selection. DO YOU ALL THINK THAT THIS WILL CHANGE...? After all the system/board is controlled by few players who have failed a lot when they played for the country.

By the by can any one locate L.Balaji who has some good record in the very few matches he played and when are we going to free our team from Ajit Agarkar who is known for bowling at the leg side keeping all the fielders on the off side. And the fact is our opponents will be worried if Agarkar is not playing for India!
