If Dravid was keen on a winning combination, he would have put his foot down on VVS Laxman being in the team. Any captain would have liked to have him at number 3. He's so good at number 3 and particulary for an overseas tour, unlike many home heroes. Obviously, he is not be in a position to get the team of his choice, considering his general non-confrontist approach and the coach's own ways. This experience should also serve as a lesson for the administration who are looking for an overseas coach, instead of seasoned Indian cricketers like Mohinder.
Indian cricket can achieve the status of world beaters provided they follow the following points
1.BCCI should provide different types of pitches in different centers so that our batsman who have such bloated averages in sub-continent learn to play by moving their feet against the moving ball or bouncy surfaces
2.BCCI should concentrate on cricketing matters than trying to sell every inch of the game to get money which either way never is spent on getting better facilities across the country. Talk about accountability is stupid by the BCCI team
3.BCCI should stop calling indian cricket team as Team India as they are only bringing more shame to the country.
4. Players should realize that wearing the Indian tri-colour is matter of honour and pride and not just some dress
5.Lastly..its we the general public who should stop being crazy about cricket and give iconic status once some dhoni/tendulkar/dravid hits a century once a year.
Remember the Bernard Shaw quote. " 11 fools play..11000 people watch " a country with 100 billion can not produce 1 single olympic medal..that's the shame and tragedy of our great Country
suggestion for get back india Batting shewag-he should stand atleast 10 over(should always) sachin-master should lead the team(not always) pathan-having great futurelike kallis,he should have confident with himself dravid - the wall should play captanciy inng yuaraj-he should play 4 the country not 4 style. kaif- the next captain should play response inng raina-young and talented guy(team mangement should give the chace 4 him (next dravid)) dhoni-the dangerous man with fear & power.should play with crtical condition also bhajji-hitter agragar-losed one allrounder should use(he's 3rd batsman in mumbai county) bowling munaf-speed with swing but not with experiance. shuold learn. pathan-out of form (get confident) sreesanth- ypung talented guy with headweight.should avoid. bhajji- experience & dhoosra power- flighted guy with fat shewag-patnership breaker
I think first of all BCCI select the player which are in good form & with consistancy not with siniority & past records as well as any single memorable game. Each & every player should play for NATION. He must be in position such 'DO OR DIE' for NATION. That's all.
We should learn lesson from Sri lanka when they won World Cup. The key to their success was bringing JayaSurya to opening slot and hence taking a big risk but if any team other than Australia wants to win this top competition, it has no other option than to think out of box. My suggestion here is that if Indian Team is seriously thinking about winning world cup, it should devise strategy that is un-conventional. One of these can be bringing DHONI to opening slot with SEHWAG and do what jayasurya did. Moreover Dhoni has always batted as opener, so there is no harm. One cam imagine if they both click together, what can happen. And even if one of them fails, other will make up for him because both are hitters in their natural game. It won't slow him when one fails. I'm sure this would bring amazing results to Indian team.
Kick the coach out of the team. He is preparing the Aus for the world cup 2007 because they know the only team that can beat them is India. He is spoiling the Indian Team by making experiments and keeping good talent outside the team like Ganguly,Laxman,Mongia,Pawar,Uttappa,Ghambir and many more.He is a spy in the team and must have support from Austrialian Board. He is a cruel fellow. Kick the coach first rest will all fine and India will win world cup 2007.

You talking like a child ,the indian cricket board selected greg chapell ,the aussies didnt send him here they are busy practicing while dreamers like you give silly comments ,thats why they are the world champions and wil alwaye be the no 1 team.
Come on guys lets us try our best to bring ganguly back. We peoples we are not capitalize the losing side of india. The match held in india but we r not entering into the final even.
I have seen rotation policy is being adopted but not all the players sitting on the benches are given chances enough to perform. If any single player perform a match winning performance, then his place gets confirmed for atleast another 30-40 ODIs for example if we took Dinesh Kanetkar or Suresh Raina...these guys fortunately were able to get India victory due to there last shots in the matches where India were able to win that ODIs. But they never been able to perform like that in any other ODIs after that. Rotation policy should be based on PERFORMANCES and not just like that as it increase the level of competion within the team. Indian cricketers need to rememeber that they are representing India and not themselves as Cricket is team game! and victory can only be gained by total team effort. Its better to take resposnsibility and not always giving false reasons to support their incapibility to perform.
