I used to be great cricket lover and spend my crucial times of my life in watching cricket. But after few bitter incidents in the gentle men's game my point of view towards cricket has changed drastically. The point I would like to raise today is, I think all of us are spending too much time on watching and discussing about cricket. On the other hand, we are been facing continuous disappointments that include our players performance and selection process that cricket board is following. I dont see any point in conducting matches in domestic circuit. Few players are considered and rests of them are ignored. I think it is the high time that we all focus on some other sport like hockey or tennis or football and make our country to reach new heights. As Venkat mentioned in his comments that our players are very nice in singing multi core contracts and they can pose well for ads. They win once in a while and ever one talks about the victory for a very long time. When we cannot beat any team in our Home Grounds, it is waste sending our Team to South Africa. We have to get back Ganguly and throw out our worst coach ever Chappel.
Under Ganguly captianship we have won lots of matches home and away. We want Ganguly back in the team. Team india is not performing well because of our great coach.
At first players should stop acting as Heroes.They want to concentrate on their profession.They should know one Billion people expecting much better from them.I hope that our population is larger than sum of all other cricketing playing nations.From this players should understand their responsibility and executing their duty well.
All the members of BCCI and selection committee... are you wearing black goggles or listening to walkmans or FM radio... You people cannot see the state of our team... Ganguly was dropped... rather "dumped" as we needed to prepeare for World Cup and focus were youngsters and winning habbits. However from the time he has gone leave youngsters even the regular oldies and so called "masters", "the wall"... "up champion (kaif)"... "turbanators", "fast bowler (pathan, munaf)", "prince (yuvi) etc are not working anymore. He was the person who groomed the team and took the team to finals of World Cup . Which captain after 1983 has brought India to verge to winning the world Cup. No one... BRING GANGULY BACK and all the selection committeee members... we should have a proper committee to select you people... "you were called bunch of jokers is very correct" !!!
One thing more.... Send "Mr Chappell" with all respect back to his country... he has done a host of crimes.. disgracing a captain like Ganguly, taking India from number 2 position to nearly last position.
In Ganguly era,India was the only team in world who had the capability to beat world champs Australia.
To think that India becomes world beaters in cricket is expecting too much.We can win in patches not consistently.
When the selection commitee is headed by the politicians and shrewd businessmen,those who are working for their own benefits and top of it we regional politics invilved in selection process why blame the coach.
Players in Indian cricket team also are not sure of there place in next team so they devote more time in earning money thru advt.Can't blame them,everyoneis selfish.Who is bothered about country. Selectors,Players,Associations for them important is Politics not Cricket.
We should dropped a cool captain, and partial coach. Captain should be aggressive one. Sachin should also been dropped. If you will check all record of Sachin, he is getting out in DO & DIE situation always.
