First of all i like to say that guru greg should be dropped with immediate effect.tendulkar record is great,but in how many matches on his performance India won the match.sehwag,raina,kaif should also be dropped.ganguly should be given another chance.world cup is only 3-4 months ahead,but we are not sure of our team combination.
In the name of cricket every body wil face the situation like this.
My General Advice is
Sewag should be dropped for a while to gain his techniques right. He should play varity of shots not the same he used to play and to confuse the bowler about his week ness.
Tendulkar should play at No 3 or 4. He has the capablity to rotaate the stikes
Munaf patel, Pathan know how to bowl in right line and lenth. One bad bowl leads to confidence of opponent teams.
After the disastrous display by the so called best batting line up Indian cricket team needs some drastic changes if we are really interested to become champs.
1) Greg Chapell needs to go as the team is now direction less with his experiments.Geoffrey Boycott can be the new coach as he knows the Indian team better than anyone else.
2) Dravid does not make a good intelligent captain. Sachin should be asked to lead. Remember the change in fortune of West Indies team after Lara was appointed as captain? Ganguly is the other choice as captain as he was a tactful leader and he is still worth. Remember Mike Brearleys role?
3) R P Singh, V R Singh, and Irfan Pathan do not deserve a place in the team
4) Sachin & Sehwag should be the regular openers
5) Dravid should be the full time one down batsman. Why should Pathan come one down when we have a specialist batsman like Dravid? Whenever situation demands Dhoni can come one down
6) India should always play 3 pacers, 2 spinners and 5 batsmen with their roles clearly defined. If any player is not performing his role he should be reasonably given a chance and then shown the door regardless of seniority.
On several ocassions earlier I have through this column expressed that Mr. Chappel has an hidden agenda cum dream. It is to damage the team India in such a way that it does not remain a threat in front of Australia in the comming World cup. So only he has systemetically removed Sourav, who dared to oppose him, damaging the carrier of Irfan and Dhoni.
In fact, his heart don't beat for India.
Our selectors should put their thought seriously on this espect and remove Chappel at the earliest possible to protect the team India. They should also bring back the seniors to strengthen the team.
Hi Rahul Dravid is Perfect choice but the team needs to realise that it was performing well under few good players like Sehwag, Pathan and Dhoni who are currently not in good form, so think keep on changing players when they are not in form not the Captian. A team needs a leader to settle down and run the team for a long time. And more over Indian Bolwing needs the aggression which is their in very few people. Keep changing the player than atleast they will play their place in the Team. And see the West Indies team they have lots of flexiblity like Hinds and Morton playing in the middle same ways it should be developed in Indian Team also but not with players who are not in form and we dont have quality allrounders get back players like Bangar,Sodhi and JP Yadav, give them more chances which are given to present off form players they will perform better than the current players. I request the rediff team to pass on this message to Dravid and the BCCI selection panel.

i feel chappel has destroyed the indian team and dravid is just a dummy captain and tendulakr the biggest politician. I feel we should bring back ganguly as captain and laxman and dropp tendulkar and dravid. We should appoint a coach who is indian. I feel we have best playres like gavaskar, shastri, azar who can be good coaches.
After seeing indian teams performance in last 10 games including recently played match against Australia , there is no doubt that Greg Chappel has vowed to destroy Indian team before the world Cup . If there is any team whi can beat Australia , it is India . But this can not happen , under guru greg as he has a secret agenda of destrying India Cricet Team . Remove Greg Chappel immediately , bring back Sourav , and we will see the results in World Cup.
The captain should be responsible and he should be compelled to explain the reason for such a debacles. Otherwise he has no right to be captain of the team like India. G. Chappel has no moral to continue as coach of Indian team. What conspiracy is going on against the Indian team in continuing him as coach of team even after os many experiments and ups and downs. Why the board should give him the time to coach the team upto next world Cup?. Only because of the contract. This means that he can even destroy the team upto next world cup. Aand we will have to watch like this?.
First of all bring back Ganguly as India's captain atleast untill world cup and appoint Mohd Kaif as his deputy, because he has leadership qualities which were evident in the Natwest series n the under 19 world cup. bring back Zaheer khan, Laxman,Kumble as regular one day players n drop Mongia, Raina, RP Singh,Pathan. hope Mr.Vengsarkar is listening.
