I think we should have Ganguly at 3 as there is too much confusion who will come there after Sachin & sehwag, dravid at4, followed by VVS, No 6 Yuvraj, Dhoni, followed by Kumble, bhajji, sreesanth (the 11th place is fought between pathan, munaf, zaheer, nehra, powar...)
Ganguly should also be used as a bowler & should bowl 10 overs on the stretch
Simple: Make sure each one perform. How? 1. Get rid of all the present contract system, where an individual gets several lakhs, irrespective of whether he plays or not! 2. Do away with confirmed phenomenal sum for each player per match. Only stipulate what will be the renumeration for each run scored / wicket taken with bonusus for mile stones.(25,50,75,100,200 Runs or 3, 5, 7 Wickets) 3. Introduce incentives for victory & penality for defeats. 4. Bar all present Cricketers from endorsements!!! Now tell me, won't it work?
The present Indian Cricket team is good for nothing(specially not for Cricket). It's good only for doing ad campaigns and other stuff. This is a pampered, overpaid and overrated group of guys which constantly breaks a billion hopes.
bring him back and give him captaincy... atleast bring him back in the 15. (whether to play him or not can be decided on a match to match basis). he can give valuable strategic inputs to the team. Give him a position of respect and honour within the team (if not captaincy).
Change the captain and change the coach(most importantly).
Bring in a more aggressive (and scheming) captain and a more understanding-of-indian-sentiments-strengths-and-attributes coach.
That will improve the team and the team india's chances of winning in general and chances of winning (or reaching the top 2/4) in the world cup next year...
a player who has scored more than 10000 runs in odi's is asked to perform in ranji/duleep matches b4 he can be considered for selection for indian team while the rainas,kaifs,sehwags etcwith nothing much to show continue to be in the team.ofcourse their feilding is exceptional but then that is not helping the team win
immediately bring back sourav and vvs to give stability to the team.ofcourse they cant go on for ever but they are not finished as yet
disappointed to know that india suffered lost against australia in last match and out of champions trophy.
regarding india toss to bat first total 249.. okay but second inning.. indian bowlers did not perform very well ie right length on the pitch.. i wondered why munaf and pathan gave a lot of wides. regarding indian bowlers gave a lot of wides... indian captain rahul dravid did not take responsibility ie dravid should discuss with indian bowlers how to bowl the right length of the pitch.. while umpire signal indian bolwers as wide dravid was keeping in his mind SILENCE and did not explain to indian bowlers..
request rahul dravid to take care of his responsbility with indian bolwers.. i know that indian were improved very good batman but week bowlers..
i hope that india can win worldcup 2007 in west indies if india should improve good bowlers
