5th Down - Dhoni, 6th Down - Pathan, 7th Down - Agarkar, 8th Down - Harbhajan, 9th Down - Kumble
Other team members (12th 13th & 14th) should be Power, Sreeshant or Munaf & Ashis Nehra (If not fit then Balaji).
I am not sure about Zaheer as in his last international series in Pakisthan he looked very unfit and nervous like 2003 Final. If fit Nehra is still the best one-day bowler for India.
Last but not the least your Team Manager should be Mr.Krish Srikkant he can handle anyone with ease. He was the captain with best management sense.
Suggestions.
1. Against Pakisthan and Sri Lanka drop one spinner and take one fast bowler.
2. Batting flexibility - Play around with Dhoni or Harbhajan if the against team has a quality Fast Bowling like Lee, McGrath etc. otherwise play around with Pathan or Agarkar for fast bowling like Vyas & co.
We all want to see u lift the Cup like Kapil. As both of u have got one similarity - U guys have never ran away because of FEAR!

Show me one player , who has played in last 20 matches , as if there was no tommorrow .These guys lack killer instinct & are living on their past glory. Yes Tendulkar included. Don't you think we have had enough of him ; he should stop disgarcing himself further . Tell me one ocassion when he perfomed when required the most .
Get VVS , Kumble , Zaheer back. Dont forget Nehra too.
Drop Irfan . He is neither a bowler nor a batsman now ! thanks to Chappells foolish strategies. This Guy thinks he is coaching Australians . Must realise that he is coaching a bunch of talented but lazy idiots !
Paint their houses black like last world cup ; then they will get to their senses . Penalise for loosing . Pay for performance only . No performance no pay . Dont have contracts with this bunch . Have a fixed + variable pay ( pay for performance ) structure. Then only will you get performing players.
Drop the likes of mediocre players like Raina .
STOP EXPERIMENTING NOW ATLEAST . try for a stable middle order and get a psychologist for them too !
I with many Indian fans have been very dissapointed in the Indian team. Their performance in the last six months have been a shame for the country where cricket is stronger than religion. It has nothing to do with the coach, I fully respect his decision for leaving the indian team after the worldcup.
Dravid is very good player and the only thing stopping him from being a good captain is the control and authority over the team.
As far as the ICC trophy goes, we indians fans have no idea of what went wrong with the Indian team and their dissapointing run. Dont you think that India should know about the Indian tracks better than other teams, I totally think that is because of high profile indian players do not play enough domestic cricket and if you ask them they would know more about the pitches in Australia and England than their domestic pitches.
And please as far as Pathan goes i think he does not deserve a place in the team. His main role is as a bowler not a batsman so he should concentrate on his bowling more than batting if he cannot do that he should be send out to earn his position, I totally agree to the fact that he has simply lost the desire to perform.
We lost the trick when we lost to WI. The record against Aussies in last 5 years is pathetic. We have perhaps won only 2 matches out of 12. Against, Aussies perhaps Ganguly-Wright & Rahul-Greg have not been able to do anything. But no point in blaming Greg-Rahul, for the simple reason that we have won consecutive 17 ODIs under the same combination. We tend to forget that. Also, wholesale changes never work & that is not solicited. The current team selected for SA Tour seems to be right one with 1-2 changes. Perhaps, Ganguly deserves one decent & full outing. We have the ability...... needs to be delivered though.

I do agree that in general we expect victory because we believe we deserve it.
Real world is different. Victory belongs to those who step forward and claim it and not to those who wait for it as they deserve it.
I do believe that Rahul Dravid is a very level headed guy who is also very aggressive. I fell that someone whould help him remove the Tendulkar burden.
Also, can we really believe that Chappel would want Team India to win if it was up against Australia in a World Cup Semi Final or Final. I do not think so. For Team India to win it is important to have a coach who would want Team India to win against anyone .....anytime.
do all the viewers know that match fixing is still going on.i will prove you.the camera work is so good that nothing can escape through the sharp camera,but when the TOSS comes,they dont show the toss whether it is head or tale.just watch carefully next time when the captain go for the TOSS.so india can win only when indians stop match fixing.the players as well the indian people who put their money in match fixing.just catch and beat them up
