The time has come to be honest. Rahul Dravid is a great wall of India & Mr Consistent. Sachin Tendulkar is a real genious and there is no doubt regarding it. However few things are need thought over:-
1) Dravid as a Captain is rather hopeless. Now, during his captiancy his own form deteoriated. Just take down the load of captainship even if he says that captainship does not affects his batting.
2) Tendulkar will score 1 century in alternate 10 matches & that too against weak teams and media will start showering praise on him regarding his incredibility which is nothing new. even he , as a captained ,failed.
4) Select a captain who can score 50-60 runs per match (whether be it a test or an one day) but having the real capability & the ingredients of being a captain. Today India needs a captain rather than a century maker batsman-captain in every match. Matches are not won or lost based on only 1 or 2 players. Ganguly fits in.Give him the time and scope to regain his form which also depends on mental conditions.
5) kick out Greg Chapell immediately. We have players who have lifted world cup & can coach the team.
In cricket captaincy makes a big difference.Dravid is very intelligent captain and has all the abilities to take indian cricket to great heights. The current team is full of talent and young. The team needs to have more mental tuning and given more pressure situation trainings like the type given in the management institute. You should have the ability to come out with flying colours in such situations.
The team composition is always better to have two spinners and 3 pacers with one of them an allrounder.
The batting should be strengthened with another stroke player.Too much reliance on sehwag ads pressure ti his batting also.We have tendulkar ,dravid and yuvraj as mild stroke players.
If good fielders is the priority ahead of batting or bowling skills, Sauth Africa and New Zealand would have won the world cup 3-4 times. But no.. its the Batting and Bowling talent and class that wins you world cups. Take the example of the world cup winners 1. Pakistan in 92: Worst fielding unit with players like Imran, Javed Miandad, Salim Malik, Inzamam in the field... but they all were match winners on their day.. Compare them with New Zealand, Australia and SA. All of them excellent fielding units but short of match winners. 2. Sri Lanka 96: Arjuna Ranatunga, Aravinda Dsilva, Gurusinghe.. who will take them as a fielder but again on their day they are match winners. 3. Australia 2000: Steve Waugh, Shane Warne, Macgrath, Damien Fleming..not great fielders..but match winners in their days. So Fielding of players should not be the criteria to win matches..it should be their ability to win matches. Selecters..its upto you now.
We want to give chance once again to Ajay Jadeja and Sourav Ganguly to back indian Squad for world cup than only india will be win world cup other wise it would be problem for india remove Greig Chappell.
Why australians are world beaters?.They are champions because of their confidence.Unfortuanetly our team doesnot have this quality. There are players playing for their spot(Raina,Mongia etc). Some are playing for records(Sachin etc),Some are given chances after failing 100 times(Sehwag,Kaif etc). Now how can we expect a bunch of guys who have such varied perspective their heads to win.We need 11 Dravids in our team who have committment and passion and Tendulkars,Sehwags so called Best batsmen in world.!!.World cup is coming up and a new drama will start soon and the biggest fools would be us !!so we have to learn a lesson too.
Better say no cricket from india, watching whole eight hrs for soo many matches make our blood boil only no use,Ganguly better then chappel, throw chappel and bring ganguly as coach u can see better team in the world, Rahul is good player not captain, tendul is good for ads not for cricket, shewag should be given hitter choicde number 10 spot, kaif should be thrown out immediately cannot bat always like natwest
Atlast dont talk about cricket in india anymore, its become like indian hockey..no hardworking people around.
