Just remove the Austrialian Coach. Bring Ganguly into team even not as a Captain. Give assurance to players. Punish/support when they need. For example:
(1) When Shewag plays a irresponsible shots like against England in CT while chasing a very low score. It is needless... He should be warned not to repeat.
(2) Suresh Raina against Australia in he wasted 11 balls in last overs. Reason is simple. He tried to cement his place in the side than to win for his Country. It is not his fault. It is a fault of 'Saviour,..!!!..of Indian Team Mr Greg Chappel''. He could never understand our culture. In India, we need social security to perform. In uncertainty, we will have only frustration. Ganguly was assuring his player all the time. Thats why we never felt vaccum of even great players. Here, I love Dravid so much. However, He should not pledge our pride to an Australian. He should bat at number three always. He is not slave to Australian. Coach should never be in lime Light. He is paid for his services. The Captain has to call the shots.
Our team managements strategies have been amusing to say the least. Problem have been compounded becouse of the over reliance on some of the players who are not capable enough to execute those strategies and team managements persistence on those players and its strategies have further compounded the problem. True characteristics of a team is not known by the success it achieves but by how it comes up when its back is on the wall i.e. how it overcomes failures. Leadership is key to this. Our captain looks clueless when opponent is building partnership. He doesnt know how to break partnership. He just wait and hopes that the batsmen will make mistakes to get there wicket. Field placement, bowling changes have been pathetic. He drops his shoulder first. Recently chappel had said that there is lot of time left for the world cup. But today we are faced with a delima. We dont know what is our best 11. South Africa is not the right place to put in a youngster so thats mean we will have to continue with the players who have been failing consistently. Just thing about this, how can we thing of accelerating run rate if you have mongia, kaif, raina batting in the middle order.

the indian bowling is very poor. the batting should not get more 300 runs .the problem is batsman should get more runs for after 39 0vers. try get short and hit four & six. the india team should bat well but sametimes bowling is very poor.the change captain & coach.
Indian Cricket team is not a team of world beaters. They are just an average team consisting of the following ingredients.
Dravid - Consistent performer and Average leader
Sachin - Once a great who is well past his prime
Sehwag, Dhoni, Yuvraj - Have talent but should be sent into some rehabilitation centre for deadiction from adrenaline
Kaif, Raina - Fielders, oh yeah for sure. But as batsmen, So-so.
Irfan - Must be the most confused soul in the whole world now.
Agarkar - Good, not great
Munaf, Sreesanth, Powar, Jaffer - Still early days, have not proven anything yet. Let's see what they can do
Bhajji - As if today the only world class spinner in Indian One day team
Kumble - Don't know how well he can adapt to one dayers after such a long gap, at his age. Still great bowler.
Zaheer - Has given a lot to improve, but has to say he's not very talented
Indian Cricket team is the most hyped about thing in this universe. They are not as half as good as they are told to be. There is nothing wrong with the Coach or the players. They are achieving what they can. They cannot go beyond that. Give them a break. We may beat a couple of good teams in the world cup. But nothing more.
I strongly believe that the main reason behind these recent failures of Indian cricket team is that they have brought in too many youngsters too quickly.
India's a middle order: Dravid, yuvraj, kaif, dhoni, Raina and Pathan.
Now out of these Dravid n yuvraj have been around for fair while but how can we persist with so many youngsters? after so many disapointments? Every time they are abt to loose there position, comes scores a 50?? and they are persisted with.
Bowling dept Only Bhajji is the exp man rest all are new comers??
All countries have 3-4 good bowlers and batsmen target 1-2 weak bowlers, but agaist India batsmen target everyOne except for 1-2.
Even with this combination my heart is always with Ind but I m afraid my mind wont let me put my money on India for sure. Indian selectors shud respect their heros (Ganguly, Laxman n Kumble)n get them back before its too late.
One bowler who always put in his 100% with great attitude is BALAJI get him back.
Bottom line is chopping and changing from chappel is welcome but gradually not drastically.
With too many youngsters all of a sudden they r on cloud nine and r least concerned abt Indian cricket.
There is a concept which is doing the rounds in the Indian Coporate Circles. Treat Indians as Indians and not like Westerners (ask Arindham Choudhary).The Indian national psyche is emotional.The western psyche is more logical. Therefore pressure on performance needs to have different mediums. The Indian team needs to have an emotional motivator at the helms and not sombebody who dissects each & every moment in the game.But emotional motivation alone does'nt help. The help of modern techniques and methods are also needed.Sadly,in India today we dont have many former greats who are equipped with the modern techniques of coaching. MY SUGGESTION: Invest on former greats in getting accustomed to modern coaching methods. Put them on apperentice on coaching jobs. Within 1 to 2 years have the goal to bring in such an Indian Coach with modern techniques to make this Inidian lot a winning combination with a sense of identity.
To make India world-beaters , they should have self-belief in them. Specially bowlers should continue bowling good line & length.They should not try something hard in trying to win game for INDIA.
Even the batters should play their basic game.
Most important is that every batsmen should price their wicket , which they dont.
At the end, crucial games are won only if they keep nerves tight!!!!!!!!
Their is no that much team work being observed as during ganguly was captning, specially in England, Australia, and Pakistan.
Dravid should start to take his own decisions than relying to chappell, let chappell do the job of coach and dravid himself execute new ideas as chappell.
Team is good as it is past while ganguly was captain, the team has lost the rythm, some of the seniors should paly one of the memorable series like yuvraj and kaif in natwest trophy.Team players must mentally prepare to play against any kind of attack.
