Some suggestion for Team India
by Krutagna Patel on Nov 01, 2006 06:43 PM  Permalink

India is really good Team for cricket. but in recent time the performance of team is third class. My first suggestion is actually deep study of every team is necessary and every bowler must know about week point of every batsman of opposite team. second thing indians have to keep in mind that first 15 overs is for hitting then 16 to 40 is for single or double runs and last overs for hitting. Third thing we required very steady batsman like, Dravid, Parthiv Patel, Raina,Yuvraj, Jadeja, Robin singh in middle order. rather then Sehwagh, Sachin, Kaif, we required seriousness in match. at last they have to play for India not for their own.
This is just my opinion if it will disturb to anyone then sorry for that.
Best of luck for world cup.
Ofcours we are the best.

India will be first in the absence of the rest
by Suresh on Nov 01, 2006 06:35 PM  Permalink

If you need India to be the world beaters what you have to do is, stop dream about such nightmares. For Indian players, it's like kissing the sun.

Ganguly's may be considered.Comparing Raina's,Kaif's abilities,Ganguly's is far more better.Infact he is a better captain than Dravid. If cricket is allowed to have non-playing captain as in Tennis,I'd prefer Bengal tiger.

What Sachin should do is not to get any ideas from Chappel. It's enough by seeing his own performances he did in Sharjah'98.He is a genius. He never needs to be given any go throughs from Greg.

About the rest, let them be perfect to their to basics. That's it.
India then will be the first.Otherwise,India will be first in the absence of the rest

WORLD BEATERS to be
by M L RAVI on Nov 01, 2006 06:17 PM  Permalink

The advice for this BLUES Team is somewhat like this

a)OPENERS must try to be the CLOSERS at the DEATH.
b)Middle ORDER batsmen must be always in ORDER,once in the middle.
c)TAILenders must not forget to always be WAGers.
There is no need to PAY RANSOM TO A FOREIGN COACH to release(or is it realise?)your cricketing talent. As new seloctors'chairman VENGY says there is not much international level talent available right now outside this TEAM,why MAINTAIN a costly coach who simply is not having any positive impact on these available TALENTS.
Why VVS gets easily left out these days is because he is comfortable only facing AUSSIES;otherwise he gives a very tensed expression in the middle;he could consult the now successful DAMIEN MARTYN who seemed always to be relaxed while making all those horrible single digits not so long back.FREE good advice maybe available among peers.
Mistake of having assured 18 odd players'pool for the World Cup a year or more in advance is they all have planned and trained themselves thoroughly for an exciting CARRIBEAN HOLIDAY-all expenses and FOODnDRINKS,provided.CRICKET could just be a passing thought in the crowded mental makeup of these TALENTS.

Where is all the money going.
by Rajesh Prabhu on Nov 01, 2006 06:01 PM  Permalink

Its all good to talk for years, that ganguly should be brought back and dravid and chappel are not good enough.. Bla Bla Bla!!!! But when is the whole India goona realise that the new boys coming into the team dont have the metal to keep their nerve in Big games.
Zaheer came into the team, bowled superbly fast for 3 months. In the all big finale, he was pathetic bowling all over the place. No one can explain why he lost his pace.
We have never played well in big games. The last time India played well in a knock out game is when sachin scored those mind blowing 100s in sharja against Aus.Isnt that fact alarming?

It is clear fact that team India over the years havnt stood upto the plate in crunch games. Why havent anything been done about that. BCCI is the richest cricket club in the world. There is lot been done with that money building stadiums and improving the infrastructures. Thats fair enough, but has anyhing been done trying to improve the kids who are taking up cricket.Chairman of selector says there is no talent in this cricket crazy nation.

May be some thing is been done on that, but i havent heard any thing substantial. If any body know please let me know.Cheers.

In cricket India was a world beater not so long ago and has the resources to regain that eminent position again.
by Dr. Cajetan Coelho on Nov 01, 2006 05:14 PM  Permalink

If one looks around, our country has made rapid progress in the field of science, technology, industry, commerce and education. The infrastructure is improving all the time. Indian leaders, thinkers, scientists, spirituality and yoga experts and others are in high demand in many parts of the world.

For cricket we have state-of-the-art facilities in almost all major cities and towns. Millions of young boys dream of playing for their beloved motherland. Just as Brazil keeps on producing footballers, India keeps on churning out hordes of top class cricketers.

When it comes to the National Team one does feel time has come to give a trial to the idea: "Be Indian - Buy Indian". Many concerned fellow Indians feel that in today's India we are in a position to have a top class Indian chief Coach and his assistant also an Indian to head the Coaching Staff. For the backroom support staff, they could have services of experts drawn from the wider world.

At the helm there could be a Kapil, Jimmy, Patil, Ravi, Krish, Ajit, Sunny or Anshuman. These guys know what it means to be Indian. When you have such sharp minds with proven records up there, the captains and players will move on.

I think the Indian team has forgotten winning the matches. There is a lack of dedication.

How to make India World-Beaters
by Jaweed Ahmed on Nov 01, 2006 02:57 PM  Permalink

Firstly we should improve the level of our domestic cricket by implemeting some strong rules ie. the fast bowler should bowled by anymean his quota of the overs in the domestic cricket, so he can be able to bowl in the international cricket in any situation of the game, he must be mentally very strong and have the ability to bowl in any time of the game in any situations. Since our fast bowlers don't bowl all their quotas in the domestic cricket they can't handle the pressure in international cricket, and it is effecting our batting as well, because our batsman use to play all the time spin bowling and when they face international match they are unable to score. I watched the Austrailia and India last match of ICC and I knew from the time when they sent to Dinesh Mongia for Batting that India will loose the match, because Dinesh Mongia and Kaif was not in the squad for long time, What Chappel or Dravid done they didn't do the proper home work, for me Chappel is useless we don't need any foreigner to coach us. When Dravid was there at the crease they should have sent Dhoni or Pathan instead of Kaif. I would like to write a lot but unfortunately the character are given is not enough.

message to all our cricket fans
by hemraaj singh on Nov 01, 2006 02:48 PM  Permalink

Now its high time Chapell should say goodbye to Indian Team. He should be sack right away and at the right time otherwise once again we will be badly beaten in the coming world cup 2007. Dravid as a captain is also not doing a great job, he too needs to concentrate more in his batting rather doing captaincy . He is our Pillar no doubt of it but becoz of this captaincy he is losing concentration . He is a great bats man but not a true leader and a fighter. True Leader in Indian Cricket is only one that is our Prince of Kolkata Saurov . He is the true leader and i still remember him when he made his boys fought like a hero in the NATWEST SERIES in England. How can we forget this true leader who took out his Jersey and Waved around in Natwest series final. We should not forget him and his aggression towards the game . Indian team need aggressive captain at the moment . He has made us and India proud in so many series and test matches but becoz of this Chapell he is not in the team otherwise this 2006 ICC trophy would have been ours. So dear selectors please do some changes before its too late and see after the changes we will come home with a World Cup mark my word.
