Like U all,I am also one of the die hard fans of Indian Cricket.Though I live in USA,Still the craze of this sport keeps me awaken the entire night to cheer my team,in a hope they will pull off wins against best of the bests. But sadly that does not happen very often and my misery increases when I have to go to office without sleeping even for a single minute
But I guess everyting is not lost.India can get back to winning ways for sure,But they will have to adopt the right strategy. We have the right resources ,so changing them will not be the right solution, but getting maximum out of them is the key here.
I feel Indian team is playing very defensive game at the moment. They need to change that ASAP and has to be agressive right from the first ball.
They should play our stroke makers in the top , so that they get maximum time in the field and we get best possible chance of putting a big score on the board. However coach shud help these players sort out their technique , so that they can play on seaming conditions as well.
The ballers shud not drop their shoulders when being thrashed out of park.Show never give up attitude and guess what - We are BACK :-) Cheers
1:Bring back experienced guys who are performing in county matches and in domestic cricket.
2:Tell mr Greg Chappel he is the coach but not the boss of the team and let we get batsman batting at their specialist position in maximum of the matches and let the captain decide......mr captain be a man...
3:We should use players like raina as a substitute player. If fielding is the criterion to be in the team why New Zealand and Zimbabwe are yet to reach to the world cup final???...they were known to be an excellent fielding side.
4:Bring back Ganguly, laxman(only after they some form in domestic cricket).Telling someone no matter whatever you do you are a big no no in Indian team is extremely foolish and ppl who talk like this should be kicked out from the Indian cricket(be it Mr More,be it Mr Chappel, or be it 'mr under the curtain').
It would be unfair to say that our cricketers DONT CARE, really, but then something is seriously wrong somewhere ! From such a ODI HIGH one day, to abysmal depths the next smacks of lack of committment and a total lack of professionalism. I do not think that India's performance in the ICC Champions truphy can be put down to "experimentation" in preparation for the world cup ! The team looks so ordinary after the spectacular performance in the last world Cup ! Whether it is Mr Chappel to blame, or Mr Dravid, or yet again the Ganguly controversy - or the waning of our erstwhile stars.... a THINK TANK needs to do a lot of brainstorming and the team members MUST fall in line ! There are always wins and losses in any game, but the whole episode is heart wrenching to say the least :((((
India cannot be world beaters in cricket with foreign coaches who charge the moon-it makes more sense to invest in our Ex cricketers and improve our domestic set-up-i propose the under :
1.Every Indian Intl cricketer must be made to play domestic cricket.
2.At all times our domestic calender should be supreme to the international cricket calender
3.Selectors,Indian coaches & groundsmen should we well paid & given 02 year contracts & retirement benefits.
4.All pitches should be fair to bowlers & batsmen & should be of international standard.
5.All contracts should be accountable to results acheived & failure has to mean return of contract money.
Finally cricket stadiums should have International standards of seating & amenities in order to encourage cricket fans to come to the stadium & all this is not going to happen in a year or two-nor do foreign coaches have some magic wand which is going to help us beat the world
