If the batting team must have to reduce the number of dotballs, then only the team can get a good score. The main thing is in one day game is singles and doubles. Not six and fours. If the team has to achieve any thing in the next world cup the team has to practise taking singles and to reduce the dot balls.
With Players like kaif, Sehway, and Yuvraj lacking consistency, India finds it difficult even to make a decent total.
Its time that we bring in new faces into the team. Chappel tested with so many new players in the name of experimentation. Infact some of them even proved themselves. So if we have them as reserve players, why not make them play more and more matches instead of simply giving so many chances to kaif , Sewag and Yuvraj.
Then I dont know why Zaheer Khan and Anil Kumble were not tried ahead of RP Singh in last 3 series India played.
The exit of India from the Champions Cup should draw attention of the following points:
Dravid should learn to dictate terms with the team.He needs to point out what exactly each player needs to do on the field.Sachin, should hang up his boots. He has records that will take a long time to break. Virender Sewhag can be rested for a few tours/contests and probably Laxman can be brought back into the team. Experimenting with the batting order is a thing of the past and lets keep it to a routine order, with probably few changes, need based.Inclusion of Zaheer is welcome but Ashis Nehra could also have been included. On allien soil, fast tracks both have produced excellent results. Ashish bowling spell took us to World Cup final in South Africa. Why not look at fresh talent, who will do anything to proove themselves and probably come out with flying colors than our current bunch of Kaif's and others.
4.Drop Vengsarkar, jaffer. Retain Rahul as captain.
5.Drop Chappel. select Kapil as a coach.
6.Bring Power in with Kumble.
7.Drop Raina - pick up Utthapaa.
8.Make RP Sing ,Zahir bat better.
9.On the field bolwer must talk to Sachin & Dhoni to attack better.
10.Dont pay heed to media. It will always crib.
11.Indian commentrators talk too much (sanjay, Arunlal) what hv they done in their one tenures? Stop babling too much on screen, they spread lot of -ve thoughts.
12.Ask Rahul to open with Sehwag. Sachin 1 down.
13. Ask Mondira to be there with the team. They will sure do a lot good.
Its time limit shud be set for players for appearing in advertisements & other commercials. It seems they are more interested in money rather than cricket.Bring coach who knows Indian conditions like player's attitude, selectors, selection criteria etc.
Make payments on performance might be we might see the results.Current team has the potential but it needs to be motivated in a correct way
India need captain like Saurav Ganguly, Coach like Mohinder Amarnath and Bowling coach like Kapil Dev. Only then we would be able to become World Beater
all those saying so much abt Ganguly....dont doubt his credibilities....
why u talk abt seeing his last 30 games...why not for others who are not playing well...
A guy who has more than 10000 runs with 22 hundreds, who along with Sachin has been the best opening pair ever in ODIs, who can dare to show agressiveness and who can groom players(including Dravid).....don't forget who brought the so called young blood in the team...and gromme
If Mcgrath can be given a place at the age of 36 why not our "Dada".....and I think Rahul Dravid has forgotten that he once said.."after God there is Ganguly on the off-side"....he doesnt even mention his name now who removed the tag of TEST PLAYER from his sleeves.
Just trust Saurav......to bring back the trust of cricket lovers
I am also a Banglorian, I feel We need to give chance to Gautam Gambir or Uttappa as opner with Sachin, And include Laxman, Kumble, Zaheer in the team.If possible give chance to Saurav once more..
As per me we have given enough chance to Sehwag, Raina, Pathan.
I personally belive that we need to follow Ausises policies that if he not perform for 4 to 5 match he has to sit outside.B'cause in INDIA there are 1,00,000people waiting for their chance to enter into National team.
