Indians lack the killer instinct that other teams have. Our captain Dravid is not aggressive as Sourav was. I am not telling here to bring Sourav. First of all we need a genuine pace bowler who can frequently bowl at 145-150 kph to trouble an opposition. Why dont we try out a few games with that young bowler Nabi who is from J&K. I don't understand why Mongia is in the team. VVS, Kumble and Zaheer should be given a fair run in ODI's. Our bolwing lacks firepower. Our bowlers are failing everytime to bowl in the right areas which is definitely becoming a big burden and concern. Even if you have 8 batsmen we cannot win a match if our bowlers dont back them up with good bowling. Why dont they learn by seeing the aussie bowlers like Mcgrath and Lee. Even aussie bowlers who are in-experienced like Johnson trouble the opposition.
with out ganguly, it's a waste of time to talk about out indian team. he build the team from scarp. but now dravid & Chappel making to scarp the team back.
We need a captain like Ganguly. He never play without confident, How dravid is testing himself & chappel is testing 100 crore people mentality.
Chappel & Dravid is making to spoil the cricket game. If it continues for another 6 months every one will forgot the cricket & find some other game. May be that's good for our country also, because we forgot our national game hockey. So Dravid & Chappel will give a strength for our hockey team with in 6 months.
In ganguly point of u, he is the No.1 Player in the world, he can bat any kind of sitution. He never says, I will play only in Opening batsman. He is ready to play any order. even his captancy he was played different order. What sachin is doing he is scoring 100Vs Zimbabay or Bangaladesh & get 0 in Aus & SA team. He don't have a consistencey. I Don't know how they drop ganguly in sqard for SA.
our selectors ready to loose the seriour, but they don't want to select No.1 Batsman ganguly.
With out ganguly no cricket, Don't expect we will play in 2007 World cup. we will be out in first round itself, if we don't select Ganguly.

In my view this team is the strongest team i have ever seen.But what is lacking is consistency of the players. The other important thing is the batting order.No player know what is his player in that day even for the captain. If they know before they can prepare mentally for that place.When coming to the bowling we have good bowlers but they are lacking some thing may be confidence.
I can say this is a going to be a favourite team for the world cup if they concentrate on basics in both batting and bowling.
It is a matter of shame for INDIA that after so many poor perfomances India shows in the recent matches, what matters most is money whether they play well or not they received a huge amount in their pocket which seems that Indian players play for money & nothing else. For some players whole Indian team is lost its image from cricket.
The point is Indian team needs more concentration on the matches to improve their performances rather than in showing their performances in advertisements.
India's performance in Champion trophy can be described as dismal. with a backing of one billion people even a dying hose can win the derby but not this lackluster indian cricketers. I believe each player should be garlanded with 'jutas" and be showered with rotten eggs. The bowlers performed so bad that all should be recalled and send back to their "village team".
