Sehwag needs to improve his footwork to give the Indian team a good start and be very carefull in his shot selection.And Greg Chapell instead of giving those Military trainings stands for net practices along with the players along with a couple of SENIOR PLAYERS like Kapildev and Sunny Gavaskar might be fruitfull and also Call up Lillee from MRF Pace Foundation might be very helpful to the bowlers and the team as a Unit.
If Team India or the cricket lovers including myself dream about Team India becoming world beaters some point in future, the following points could help :
1) Payment should be based on performance of the team. 2) To make it clear that complacency has no place when representing the nation. 3) All players should develop a sense of belonging to the team and show the spirit.
At present India has got some dedicated players(especially youngsters), but I am depressed to see the lack of commitment shown by the players like Tendulkar,Sehwag,Dhoni(at times). It doesnt matter whether we loose a game or not , but we should fight for each wicket and show the level of dedication while playing for the country. My final word : Players are not bigger than the game.Also to take note of the comment from ponting after the 4th Ashes test that 'its always fighting till end when representing the nation.
First thing is, it should be horses for the races not the vice versa. If a player is not performing, let him be dropped immediately. We don\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t have to sit on the glory of the past. Past is gone, future nobody knows and we are more bothered about the present. That should be the attitude of the selectors and the management. Get rid of the casual players who doesn\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t have any grittiness in their mind. There is no motivation from the piont of view of patriotism.

if we want our team to become world best team , then first of all we should make clear to player that performence is key , second we should ask media to leave the matter . third we should honour our old player , sunil gavaskar , kapil dev and should ask them to give time to indian team . for other old player we should use them with all national cricet team . they should pay highly .finally we should not change any player in current team and should ask them give result in world cup 2007 otherwise all will be termineted for 1 years from indian cricket team .

main thing indian cricketes needs to improve confidence.focous in cricket.according to me psycology is very important.players always should give there more than 100%(indian cricketers give there 100% in veeker teams lime bangladesh jimbawee. but not giving even there 60% against the team like australia)
