I strongly feel if India needs any batsman other than the team already selected to tour S.Africa it is Sourav Ganguli.No one in the existing team is playing consistently, except Dravid and yuboraj Singh.then why Ganguli is being seen isolation. A gentleman's game surely is cricket but no longer Indian Cricket.When World Cup will be over , and Indian Team will display like they have done in Champian's Trophy, number of scape goats will be found, and the selector's will have nothing to loose as they are not playing.It is like the Sholay,s Coin, head I win and tell you loose.
Its not the matter of winnning or losing, all they need is to prepare mentaly that they can beat the best team amnongst the resources available. All togather what makes a difference is an attitude. On paper we got a gud team, but the need of an hour is to ro-order the batting line up properly, so that they can add up more runs on the board. We need to have an alternative replacement for each of the players. One more thing , i must say thanks to Coach & Captain who had created a bench of Players as a reserve,especially a medium pacers, Dont worry, the world cup is going to be ours, but make sure who ever play with india, its based on that day performance. Whoever played well, they will win the match.
Need of the hour is right composition of our team backed by a GOOD captain and an aggresive coach.
We have the talent, we need some one to bring out the best in them...Ganguly seems to be clear choice at this in point in time, Dravid's approach is different. And it seems even Chappel is confused over Dravids approach towards every match. There is no body language, expression less, sticks to one position thats it. I remember Munaf was bowling round the wicket and was not at his usual pace against australia. No body felt it necessary to talk to him and offer him that extra comfort zone..C'mmon this guy is good...allow him to bowl at his normal way.
Something drastically wrong with our team and management. These guys should wake up and do something...
Greg is an aggresive cricketer ever since he started playing the game.His basic nature is to get things done asap.His planning goes for a toss . Dravid is the best player today in world cricket.He achieved so much through his experience,and he has tendency to get more.He is a man should not be burdened with captaincy.He concentrates more to save the team from disaster. He is a hard worker technically very sound but he is not the leader.Just Get back Saurav to stand beside him.The leadership of Saurav is the thought of the moment. We have jewels with us they need to be communicated everytime.Have you seen Dravid talking to them frequently,NO.He takes the pain of failure on himself and stands on slip like a sad statue.When the bowlers are not performing the captain should be near the bowler.I remember Pataudi controlling the team from mid wicket.We have suffered another disaster by way of Irfan's performance.He is misued.He is our asset.He is our KAPIL ,the winner.The body language after the kill has vanished.Greg should take responsibility for this.Its wise call for expert opinion and open the file of Golden days robin majumdar
When will the media stop talking about Gangauly. Leave the guy alone. I am just bored about cricket this days and I guess everybody needs a long break from this overdose of cricket.
Its unfortunate if India has to recall Ganguly for the world cup. It would be like surrendering before the battle. Team India had won laurels with emergence of players like Gavaskar Viswanath Kapildev who had taken over the mantle from their predecessors competently.We are finding no such talents emerging right now and Vengsarkar is absolutely right when he articulates this but at the same time does have a difficult task at hand to accomplish.Players like ganguly play in fits and starts and good for 20 30 runs.Hard luck India if you have to package old wine in new bottle for your upcoming world cup and continue your run of disaster.What you need really at this hour is your young stars to shine and not old stars to blink.
Remove dravid from captaincy, sack aschin and Sehwag immedialty and bring back Great Ganguly the leader who can guide the boat of Indian cricket team to the great height where we were earlier.
