I have hope. The men in blue can do it for the Blue Billions Brigade. I just want them to listen to my advice. Our batsmen during match v/s Aus on 28th oct were not showing any aggresiveness. My dear friends, techinque will not win the matches, scoring does. You need to score runs runs runs. Leaving good balls is OK but only to some extent. Try to hit most of the balls not pushing the bat to out side the offstump delivery hit it if your stance is not supporting try standing like Srikaanth with your bat raised. This will give better leverage to hit the ball. Keep on hitting the ball the confidence will grow and improvised shot will come automatically. if you are afraid to hit and try to kiss the ball with your bat you are done. Bats are meant for hitting not kissing. Develop aggresiveness. Before every match watch tysons video practice with boxers bag. While surveying field do not look at the fielder look at the gaps they should only remain in your mind not fieders. Aerial route is not best hitting in gaps is. Bowlers try to do new things. Bowl frm edge of crese to get angled delivery. Bowl more and more yorkers. do ulta pulta if possible.
I think, there is only one way to become world champions... Everybody should get a training on pitch of every part of the world. After training, evaluate them and make the team as follows.
The team structure should be consistent and each number player should be specialist. 1 & 2 should be specialist opener 3 should be captain dravid 4 & 5 should be specialist batsman who can play all type of shots 6 should be specialist Wicket Keeper who can bat 7 should be all rounder 8, 9 should be specialist fast bowler 10 and 11 should be specialist spinner
The team which is youhng like West Indies manages to defeat Australia with players like Taylor,Samules,Smith etc,but we always speak that we r having world class batting line up like Sachin,Shewag,Dravid aggregating more than 25,000 ODI runs between them,but all waste useless when u cant defeat Aussies while the young team like WI manages to defeat,even England has give some fight and showed some character against Aussies,but what abt us,Throw Shewag,Pathan out of the team,Pathan is not fit to play these days.Shewag should be thrown out the team almost 6 months earlier.Shewag ,Pathan are not even fit to play in the second class matches that are played in Australia or England.They won't find a place in the second league of Australian club side.
Its all the old story, when team wins all its problems hide behind and when it loses every one starts doing disection.
Its true that team is not doing well as per the capibility and it looks that somewhere they are lacking that hunger which they used to have at the time of Tour of Pakistan or Srilanka, otherwise its same old team which have done reasonably well last year.
Problem seems some where with the greg cappels coaching as well, too much experimentation i guess. Pathan is not the right man to bat at no-3 not atleast parmanently, and he should understad now that spin is our strength and no point in playing with 4 seamers, Kumble should be back in team and power is also doing good so he sdould also be given enough chances, and i still oppose sourav gangully's inclusion in team.
as i think chapel is not doing his work he just want to be a hitler in indian team. our selcters are also not seeing good players they dont give chance to good players(where is ashaish nehra and balji) and why dont we take powanr and mongia a good chance they can play on number 7and8. And the most thing is change our captain dravied cant do captaincy he have no experience and our BCCI should think about it otherwise will win parhaps only 1 match. BCCI should think about it and do take action.
I personally feel that we get one good player in a decade. I don't understand why Anil Kumble and V.V.S Lakshman are kept out inspite of their proven capabilities.They are much better that Raina's,Kaifs and Gambhirs.If fielding is a concern then we don't need a player who saves 3 runs we need a player who scores 100 runs.Their inclusion will give much needed strength to the team.If Sehwag can play even when he a scores a 50 in every 10 matches then why dicrimination towards Lakhman who has proven himself. Better eliminate the dirty politics and be fair
In the do or die match with australia few things that opens up are not new and indian team is doing these mistakes since a long time but due to one or other reasons discussion generally diverts to other issues like coach grag chappel or sachine,sourav, rahul(individual).But actual thing is players are not learning the things from teams there are lots of basic things like in batting every player except (dhoni and rahul) wants to hit 4 or 6 only they are not giving importance to single and rotating of strike,another point is left-hand right-hand combination we are not using it.World's best bowler too get disturbed with such combinations all teams are making use of it except us.
In bowling bowler never attempt for bouncer, yorker, or slower ball.
Cricket is a team game not individual game. So if you want to choose team eleven with 4 Batsman + 4 Bowlers + 1 Wkt keeper + 2 All-rounder then consider first who will fit in those roles perfectly. Choose your best four in form batsmen without worrying about stars. If you do not require Sehwag or even Sachin then go for it. If you have two better all-rounders exclusive of Irfan then drop Irfan for the match or you have four better bowlers other than RP then please show him the door for the match. I think selecting best combination is the winning formula these days. So, selectors please work for it so that we can see India reviving and resurging in the coming series.
